Magical Girl Special Battle Asuka" is an anime adaptation of the manga of the same title, written by Makoto Fukami and drawn by Seigo Kokuya, which is serialized in the monthly magazine "Big Gangan" (published by Square Enix). The story follows a group of magical girls who save the human race from a monster invasion.
The TV anime is directed by Hideyo Yamamoto of the "Strike the Blood" series, with series composition by Makoto Fukami and Norimitsu Kaiho, character design by Yoko Suzuki, and music by R.O.N. Animation production is handled by Leiden Film, creators of "LOST SONG".
