Summer Anime "Kinnikuman" 2nd PV of "Perfect Chohin Hajime Hen" released! Announced 15 new cast members including Uesaka Sumire, Ono Daisuke, Miyata Toshiya!

The original "Kinnikuman" was first serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) in 1979 by author Yudetamago (original scenario by Takashi Shimada, illustrations by Yoshinori Nakai). The series continues to be serialized in "Weekly Playboy" and "Shukupre NEWS" (both published by Shueisha). The series has sold more than 77 million copies.
The story is about Kinnikuman, a clumsy and stupid dropout from the planet Kinniku, who through hard work, friendship, and victory eventually grows into the strongest man in the superhuman fighting world. The anime has been broadcast since 1983, and the Kinnikeshi has become a huge hit, with 200 million units sold.

The new series is a continuation of the Kinnikuman Kinnikusei Kingship Contest Arc, and is directed by Yoh Satou, with series composition by Makoto Fukami, character design by Hiroki Marufuji, and music by Koji Takanashi, The role of Kinnikuman will be played by Mamoru Miyano, and the roles of Mayumi Kinniku and Prince Kamehame will be played by Akira Kamiya.

This work will be broadcast every Sunday night at 11:30 p.m. starting in July on the "Agaru Anime" slot on the CBC/TBS network of 28 stations nationwide. It will also be broadcast on BS11.

The cast of the TV anime "Kinnikuman" "Perfect Origin", which will be broadcast on CBC/TBS from July 2024, has been announced, with the cast members playing the roles of the righteous superheroes, seven demon superheroes, Meat-kun, and the committee chairman.

Hiroki Kaji: Playing the role of Wordsman

My name is Hiroki Kaji, and I will be voicing the role of Wordsman in "Kinnikuman: The Perfect Cho-jin Hajime Hen". To be honest, I can hardly believe the fact that I am greeting you like this. It is such a dream come true for me.
When I was a child, I played NES software with my father. Kinnikuman and his friends were heroes to me, just as they were to everyone else. I was especially attracted to the visuals and strength of Wordsman, even as a child. Thirty-odd years have passed since then. I never thought that the day would come when I would be able to audition as a voice actor! I was grateful just to have the official staff listen to my lines," I thought, somewhat like I was taking a commemorative exam (although, of course, with all my heart!). I was so thankful that the official staff would listen to my lines. When I received the unexpected news that I had been accepted, I was more surprised than happy, and I remember being stunned for a while.
Several months have passed since then, and now that I have gone through a number of postrecordings, I think I am finally starting to get a sense of what it's like to be a part of ....... Jun Kasama: Brocken Jr.

I first encountered Kinnikuman when I was in elementary school. I played with Kinnikeshi, Muscle Tag Match, imitated the techniques of the righteous superheroes, and longed for a beef bowl at a restaurant (at that time, beef bowl chains were still not so familiar to me). Now that I am older, Brocken Jr. is the character that has changed my impression of him the most. Compared to other superheroes with overwhelming strength, Brocken Jr. is called an "unfinished masterpiece." His way of standing up to adversity and achieving victory is something that resonates with me only now that I am an adult. What is "Kinnikuman"?
Kinnikuman" was serialized in Shueisha's "Weekly Shonen Jump" magazine from 1979 to 1987 with 387 episodes. Kinnikuman II" was serialized in "Weekly Playboy" from 1998. Kinnikuman" and "Kinnikuman II" have sold more than 77 million copies in total (12th place in history).
The TV animation series began airing in April 1983, with an average rating of 20%. 7 movies have also been produced.
In 2011, "Kinnikuman" resumed serialization for the first time in 24 years, and was ranked 7th in "This Manga is Amazing" in 2012. 2013 marked the 100th volume of the series, which will be published simultaneously in "Weekly Playboy" in addition to the "Shukupre NEWS" web series from 2020.
