The TV anime "Touken Ranbu Kaze -Kyoden Kennoyuru Honnoji-" will air on TOKYO MX and BS11 on April 2, 2024 (Tuesday) at 23:00 for a total of 8 episodes. The synopsis and advance cuts from the first episode "Kaiten suru Yume" have been released.

The story is based on the PC browser and smartphone app game "Touken Ranbu ONLINE".

The game is a sword training simulation game in which players take on the role of a priest (saniwa) and lead "sword men", famous swords transformed into warriors, to fight for the preservation of history. Since its launch in January 2015, "Touurabu" or "sword dance ONLINE" has gained a huge following and has contributed to the sword boom that has swept the nation. It has been a success in many media mixes, including anime, musicals, consumer games, stage, movies, and kabuki, and has taken the entertainment world by storm.

The anime "Touken Ranbu Mawai -Kyoden Konyuru Honnouji-" is based on the script of the first "Touken Ranbu" stage production, which premiered in 2016, and Kenichi Suemitsu, who has been writing and directing stage productions for many years, will also write the script and series composition for this production.
