WOWOW On-demand Anime for April Cool is now available! A gorgeous lineup of popular works and notable sequels!

WOWOW On Demand, which distributes the hottest and most popular anime, has announced the anime to be distributed in the April 2024 season.

From April 13 (Sat) onward, "Monster No. 8" will be distributed every Saturday at 11:30 p.m. When the series started on "Shonen Jump +" in July 2020, it became the fastest viewed series in the app's history, surpassing 30 million views. The total number of comics sold has exceeded 12 million copies, making it a signature work. It has attracted attention from manga fans, winning the grand prize in the "Web Manga Category" of the "Next Comic Award 2021," a user voting project announced on August 24, 2021, and is a popular work that was ranked No. 1 in sales of the first volume of the comics in fiscal year 2020. The story takes place in Japan, a world where disasters (i.e., monsters) invade daily life without mercy, and where the incidence of monsters is among the highest in the world. Kafuka Hibino, the 32-year-old protagonist, is assigned to clean up the corpses of monsters killed by the Defense Forces. While pursuing his dream of becoming a "Defense Forces member," a mysterious small monster transforms his body into a monster, and he is called "Kaiju No. 8," the code name for the Japan Defense Forces. This is the story.

From April 10 (Wed.) onward, "Hibike! Euphonium 3" will be distributed. Euphonium," based on the novel by Ayano Takeda! Euphonium" is an anime series by Kyoto Animation. The main character, Kumiko Koumae, struggles in this coming-of-age story set in Kita-Uji High School's brass band club. The latest work, "Hibike! Euphonium 3" depicts Kumiko, now a third-year student and the head of the band, and the members of the Kitauji High School brass band club! Euphonium" (13 episodes) and "Hibike! Euphonium 2" (13 episodes) will be distributed all at once from April 1 (Mon.).

Oblivion Battery" will be distributed every Thursday at 0:30 a.m. from April 11 (Thu.) onward. Based on a baseball manga work that has been serialized on "Shonen Jump +" since April 2018 with a total of over 200 million views. The unique setting of the main character with amnesia, fascinating characters, drama that depicts the reality of high school baseball, and the perfect balance of gag and serious elements have made it popular, and expectations for the anime are high.

From Sunday, April 7 onward, "Bartender: The Glass of God" will be distributed every Sunday at 0:30 a.m. The popular manga "Bartender," written by Araki Shiro and manga by Kenshu Nagatomo, was serialized in "Super Jump" and "Grand Jump" (both published by Shueisha) from 2004 to 2012, with a circulation of 3.6 million copies (as of April, 2023). The manga, which was also adapted into media when it was serialized, not only stimulates the viewer's appetite for knowledge about bars and alcoholic beverages, but also provides a heartwarming human drama that unfolds in a bar.

In addition, the second season of "Urusei Yatsura" will be distributed every Monday from 0:00 p.m., and "Dungeon Mei" will continue to be distributed every Thursday from 10:30 p.m.
