Transformers 40th Anniversary "Godzinrai" Project Begins! MPG-09 Super Jinrai" will be released on December 28!

The Transformers series of transformable robot characters, created by TOMY and originating from Japan, will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2024.

The 40-year partnership with Hasbro, Inc. of the U.S. has resulted in the creation of numerous products and rare characters loved by fans around the world. Transformers" has evolved into a global brand.

The "Godzinrai" project was launched today, April 10 (Wed.), as part of the 40th anniversary commemorative project. In addition, a "40th Anniversary Transformers Exhibition" will be held, corporate collaborations will take place, and a variety of other projects to liven up the anniversary year have been announced.

40th Anniversary "Godzinrai" Project

The "Transformers MPG" (*1), the next generation line of the "Transformers Masterpiece (MP)" series, the pinnacle of the "Transformers" toy series, has launched the "Godzinrai" project to commemorate its 40th anniversary. As the first project, "MPG-09 Super Jinrai," a Transformer set that includes Commander Jinrai (transformed into a trailer towing vehicle) from the TV animation "Transformers: Super Jinrai Master Force" (broadcast from 1988 to 1989) and a container, will be released on December 28, 2024. The product will go on sale on Saturday, December 28, 2024. The first exhibition in 10 years, the "40th Anniversary Transformers Exhibition," will be held from time to time starting on May 10, 2024 (Friday) in Osaka. Visitors will be able to enjoy a large and powerful exhibition of toys from the past series.

Corporate Collaboration Information

BINGO SPORTS, which has long handled the world's most famous cars, will be introducing a Transformers-designed racing car to compete in the Japan Cup (Fanatec, GT, World, Challenge, Asia, Powered, by AWS) and will also be releasing racing car-designed products. Transformers "MPG-09 Super Ginrai

The 40th anniversary "God Jin Rai" project has begun! Commander Jinrai is now available!

The first product in the "God Jinrai" project is the MPG-09 Super Jinrai, which includes the Commander Jinrai (transforms into a trailer tow vehicle) from the animated TV series "Transformers: Super God Master Force" and a container. The MPG-09 Super Jinrai is a character that consistently ranks high in popularity (*2), and its commercialization marks the 40th anniversary of the series.

The new product will be a reproduction of the anime setting, decoration specifications, and toy mechanism of the time!

The figure is designed to reproduce the anime settings, decorative specifications, and toy mechanisms from 1988. When the God Master (figure) included in the trailer is attached, it unlocks and transforms from vehicle mode to robot mode, and then combines with its container to become "Super Jinrai" (combined robot form). Jinrai's robot form is fully posable, including tilting forward at the waist, tilting to the left or right, and rotating.
The container can also transform into a mobile base.

The MP-60 Jinrai, the 100th MP series figure (including limited editions), will be released at the same time. While the "MPG-09 Super Jinrai" is based on the setting and decoration of the 1988 anime, the "MP-60 Jinrai" is based on the colors and decoration of the toys released at the time. The "MPG-09 Super Ginrai" and "MP-60 Ginrai" feature changes in details such as the color and position of the eyes, chest window, waist, some parts of the legs, and shoulder markings.
The 100th figure is commemorated with a booklet that introduces the 100 figures that have been released so far.
The "Masterpiece" series will end with the release of this 100th figure, and the highest Transformers brand will be unified into "Transformers MPG" from now on.
