Official Report

The performance opened with a digest video of famous scenes from "Gridman Universe. First, the performers gathered on stage. The artist Oishi Masayoshi especially excited the audience, appearing in a cosplay of Juga of "SSSS.DYNAZENON" who is famous for his resemblance to Oishi, which drew laughter from the audience. Then, after everyone greeted the audience, Daiki Hamano shouted to the audience, "Gridman Universe Show! he exclaimed to the audience. The audience responded with "Battle Go! and the event started.

The first performance was a reading play "Even if it's been 5,000 years" with a hero show. It is a sequel to "Gridman Universe," in which Rex, Knight, and the second generation slip back in time to a world 5,000 years ago in pursuit of a reaction believed to be Alexis Keliv, where they encounter Hime, Rex's longtime love. Then Alexis, who calls himself Alexiyaki Kebab, prince of the Darkened Sky Kingdom, appears and makes a pass at Hime, leading to a battle with Grid Knight and Dinazenon.

Although the film opens with the serious development of the resurrection of Alexis, the content is a series of unintentionally funny scenes, such as Knight saying "It's a good time" when he hears that there was no consumption tax in the world 5000 years ago, Hime saying "Won't someone come to save us from the boredom? Hime even mentioned the AI that has recently become a problem in the voice-over industry, and the audience laughed throughout the exchange.

After Alexis revealed himself, Grid Knight and Dinazenon appeared on stage. The action was as lively as a hero show, which has become a familiar sight at Gridman events. After the battle, Gauma and Hime, aka Rex, were left alone with Hime, and the exchange between them was a very memorable scene for fans of the series, and made me want to see it in the anime.

While the afterglow of the reading performance was still lingering, a live performance by Marei Uchida began. She performed "Strobe Memory," the ED theme song of "SSSS.DYNAZENON. During the live, Uchida called out to the audience to stand up. As the sense of unity in the venue grew, Uchida sang "youthful beautiful," the ED theme song of "SSSS. GRIDMAN". In the latter half of the song, Uchida went up on the top of the stage and stirred up the fans, which greatly enlivened the audience.

Next, the cast members were divided into three groups and each gave a talk show. The theme of the talk was "Memory Diary," in which the cast members looked back on memorable events in the series with their own drawings they had made in advance.

First, Daiki Hamano, Suzuko Mimori, Kenichi Suzumura, Hanabayashi Takahashi, Toru Inada, and Marei Uchida began their talk, interspersing their impressions of the previous reading play. They talked about the "Grid Night Fight Night" event in which Takahashi, Inada, and Suzumura appeared and their memories of the launch of "Gridman Universe" after its completion.

Inada talked about the scene in "Gridman Universe" where a certain Ultraman, whom he had voiced, appeared. Uchida chose as a memorable scene the words Hime wrote on the back of a receipt for Gauma. Hamano, who had watched "Electric Light Superhero Gridman" as a child, chose "junk," a choice that made fans cry, and spoke of his passion for the "Gridman" series, to which the audience gave a big round of applause.

The next team consisted of Hikaru Midorikawa, Yuya Hirose, Yume Miyamoto, Mayumi Shintani, Akari Kito, and Rena Ueda. Shintani, for some reason, watched a pro-wrestling match, Midorikawa talked about his "companion-shot" with Hirose at the event, and Kito drew a picture diary of the postrecording scene and read it, which excited the audience.

Among these developments, Ueda's drawings caught the audience's attention. He selected a memorable scene of Shinjo Akane's hand in a memorable scene, and even the fingers of the hand were drawn in perfect detail, which impressed the cast members greatly.

The final group was Junya Enoki, Shion Wakayama, Yuichiro Umehara, Chika Asai, and Sayoshi Oishi. The audience laughed out loud at Oishi's outbursts, such as when he revealed that Chise, played by Anzai, was his favorite and got a little creeped out, and when he heard Umehara say that they all went out to eat yakiniku together, he scoffed that he had not been invited to the event.

He also shared an episode from a private visit to a support screening of "Gridman Universe. When Juga was shown for a moment, the audience called out, "Go home, go home! but the audience sang the theme song "uni-verse" at the end of the movie, which brought tears to his eyes.

The next corner was "Both Sides, Now," the second part of the reading play. The story begins when Utsumi goes missing at a haunted place where he went to test his courage. To search for Utsumi, the Gridman Alliance, Rokka Mama, Hasu, the Gauma Squad, Shinjo Akane, and Gridman, friends from different worlds, gather to search for Utsumi. Akane proposes to search for Utsumi with an AI-equipped artificial human that she has created. However, when Yomogi tries to control the artificial human through instance domination, the AI unexpectedly takes over in the opposite direction. Yuta becomes Gridman and fights to stop the AI's ambition to end the human world.

Once again, the audience laughed out loud as the cast members exchanged hearty dialogue. Particularly amusing was the exchange between Yomogi and Yumei. Yomogi was taken over by AI because "he has little human heart and doesn't think", to which Yumeba lamented, "I was in charge, so Yomogi can't think for himself anymore".

Incidentally, the AI Android that appeared in the show had an appearance related to "Electric Light Superhero Gridman," and some of the audience members who might have noticed this were surprised to see it. The inclusion of such maniacal parodies is an interesting aspect of the Gridman stage, and is sure to be a hit with deep special effects fans.

The hero show scene was also a big hit, with the appearance of Mad Origin, who fought in the "Gridman Universe," eliciting a gasp of excitement. Especially exciting was the appearance of Gridman (Primal Fighter), Gridman (Universe Fighter), and Gridman (Electric Light Superhero). The fans did not expect to see these three forms fighting together, and the crowd erupted in thunderous cheers and applause. The climax of the performance featured the addition of Grid Knight and Dinazenon, and the audience was excited from start to finish by the overwhelming performance.

The highlight of the reading was the final exchange between Gridman and Akane Shinjo. The audience quietly watched Midorikawa and Ueda's quiet performance.

The last act on stage was a live performance by Oishi Masayoshi. First, he sang "In Perfect," the OP theme song of "SSSS.DYNAZENON," to a standing ovation of the fans. Next, for "UNION," the OP theme song of "SSSS.GRIDMAN," a guitarist was chosen from the audience to replace Tom-H@ck. The selected audience member performed the guitar solo part with a groovy air guitar performance, further increasing the tension in the venue.

The theme song "uni-verse" from "Gridman Universe" brought all the performers to the stage. As the audience's voltage reached a climax, Oishi sang the song in an impressive high tone and closed the live in a frenzy.

Finally, Yuya Hirose greeted the audience on behalf of the performers. The show closed with the customary call and response, "Access Flash! The stage closed with the customary call-and-response "Access Flash! The live streaming of this performance will be available until the end of April 14. It is a 2-hour and 30-minute long performance with substantial content, so if you were not able to see it in real time or learned about the event for the first time, please be sure to watch it.
