Konami Digital Entertainment, in cooperation with Super Deluxe Games ("SDX"), will release a packaged version of "Soul of War: Operation Garga," the latest in the "Soul of War" series, on September 5, 2024. This title was previously released as a downloadable version on March 12, 2024, and a new packaged version for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 will be released on March 12, 2024.

Since its creation as an arcade game in 1987, "Soul of War" has been an action-shooting game that has been developed for various platforms, including home video games and mobile games, for over 35 years. Set in the future, the game follows the story of "Bill Reiser" and "Lance Bean," warriors known as "KONTOURA," as they use a variety of weapons to take on aliens and armed terrorists who are plotting to annihilate the human race. Following the downloadable version that was previously released on March 12, 2024, a new packaged version will be released for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5.
The packaged version will be available in two versions, the "Normal Edition" and the "DELUXE EDITION," and pre-orders began today, April 17, at the official SDX store and at various retail outlets. The "Normal Edition" includes the game software as well as a front and back jacket and manual as permanently enclosed extras.

The "DELUXE EDITION" includes, in addition to the standard edition, a two-disc "Soul of War Operation Garga Deluxe Soundtrack" containing the original soundtrack and Retro Remix tracks included in the game, as well as a three-sided case designed exclusively for SDX, Also included in the package are a trading card and the "DELUXE+" mini-magazine*1, as well as a "SAMMY DOURA Unit Patch*2" as a bonus for purchasing at the official SDX store.
