Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 6RRR PLUS, the latest title in the popular "Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune" arcade driving game series, will begin operations today, Wednesday, April 17, 2024.

The "Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune" ("Wangan Maxi") series is a popular arcade driving game based on the world of the Kodansha comic "Wangan Midnight. The game features a large number of actual cars from various manufacturers in Japan and abroad, and offers the exhilarating experience of driving through realistic urban highways at overwhelming speeds, as well as a large-diameter steering wheel and 6-speed H-type shift lever for an authentic feel.

The latest title in the series, "Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 6RRR PLUS" ("Wangan Maxi 6RRR PLUS"), will go on sale today, April 17, 2024 (Wednesday). While maintaining the appeal of the "Wangan Maxi" series, which allows players to "drive through glittering cities at high speed in the car of your choice," more than 100 cars from 13 domestic and foreign manufacturers, including the popular "new Fairlady Z (RZ34)," will be available in the new game. The new series' advanced control feel adds power and weight as the tuning progresses, allowing players to "feel like they are driving a fast car".

The "Wangan Maxi" series has been in operation since 2004, and the 13 titles up to "Wangan Maxi 6RR PLUS" have been highly supported by users not only in Japan but also around the world. In conjunction with the launch of this title, the year 2024 has been designated as the "20th Anniversary Year," and commemorative events, including the "Japan's Fastest Championship 2024," the first national tournament in six years, will be held to celebrate the series' 20th anniversary together with users.
