For those of you who miss the taste of perko noodles! Percow Neapolitan for 1,221 yen at the Akiba Place branch of Nekoniku no Manyou!

When you come to Akihabara, you may have a hard time deciding where to have lunch.

To help you decide, here are some Akiba eats that I, Shun Gori, who always wander around Akihabara even when I have no need to go out for lunch, recommend.

As an Akibaite who likes to spend money on his hobbies, I would like to introduce mainly dishes that can be eaten for less than 1,000 yen, assuming that the amount of money you can spend for lunch is around 1,000 yen. However, I must admit that I went a little over budget this time.

Akihabara is a battleground for brown food such as ramen and curry. One of the best examples of such food is the "Manzei Noodle Shop," which closed its doors at the same time as the "Manzei Meat Shop" building, which closed its doors at the end of last month.

As the closing of the building approached, long lines of people lined up day after day to get their fill of the noodle soup.

⇒Farewell "Nekoniku no Manyou" main store building! A video and report on the closing, which was attended by many fans.

I can no longer eat the perkor noodles from the Manyou Noodle Shop, but I would like to eat that perkor alone again! To fulfill this wish, we went to "Nekoniku no Manyou Akiba Place" which just opened on March 25, 2024.

Niku no Manyou Akiba Place is located on the third floor of the Akiba Place Building, a six-minute walk from JR Akihabara Station or a three-minute walk from Suehirocho Station.

At the entrance of the building is a sign that reads "Niku no Manzei" (肉万世), and many people must have felt a little nostalgic when they saw the words "Manzei ni irasshai Mansei" (万世 ni irasshai Mansei).

The interior of the restaurant, which has just opened, is spotlessly clean, and the atmosphere is somewhat reminiscent of a high-class coffee shop, perhaps due to the classical music playing in the background. The restaurant has 150 seats at tables only, and there are also private rooms that can be used for dinner parties.

The restaurant offers both a "service lunch" and a "special lunch menu," which is served from open to 16:00. Prices range from 1,110 yen (1,221 yen including tax) to 2,560 yen (2,816 yen including tax), which is a bit on the expensive side for an Akibaite's lunch. However, it is the "Perko Neapolitan 1,110 yen (1,221 yen including tax)" that is worth noting. Yes, the "perko" on the perko noodles is on the Neapolitan.

Both the service lunch and lunch menu come with rice and tonjiru (pork miso soup), and the rice can be refilled, so you will be fully satisfied.

This is my order of "Percor Neapolitan.

It is difficult to determine whether it is a Western-style restaurant or a teishoku-ya (set meal restaurant), as it has Neapolitan, perko, rice, and tonjiru on a griddle just like a Western-style restaurant.

However, with rice (carbohydrate), Neapolitan (carbohydrate), and perko (oil), the menu is perfectly typical of lunch in Akiba.

A close-up of the perkor neapolitan shows that the familiar perkor noodles are indeed on it.

As one would expect from a restaurant like "Nekoniku no Manyou," the tonjiru (pork broth) is filled with plenty of meat. Moreover, this tonjiru is so tasty that you could eat a bowl of rice just by itself.

Now, let's try the pork.

The pork is fatty and well-seasoned. ...... This is Manzei's Pork.

Wait a minute. ...... If the pork is well-seasoned, doesn't that mean that it goes well with rice?

I tried it with rice and found it to be very tasty! The fat and flavor seeped out of the pakor and went well with the rice. Try it!

Of course, Neapolitan is also delicious.

It tastes just like the classic Neapolitan you would find at a coffee shop.

Since they created the menu item "Percow Neapolitan," they must have intended for it to be eaten together.

With this in mind, I decided to try the perko and the Neapolitan together.

It is also delicious! The acidity of the Neapolitan goes well with the perko.

The conclusion is that perko is delicious no matter how you eat it! That's all I can say. I finished my meal.

If I could have had more Tonjiru (pork miso soup), I would have had more rice and Tonjiru, but I felt like I was eating too many carbohydrates, so it was probably a good thing that I didn't get the refill service.

I was given a "service ticket" at the checkout. I rubbed it in and won the "D Prize," which entitles me to a 100 yen discount on my next bill, so I'll have to come back and miss the perko noodles.

At the cash register, you can buy souvenirs such as "Mankatsu Sandwich" and "Mo-Bu Cookie" with the store's character "Mo-chan-Bu-chan" on it, so if you come to Akihabara from far away, you may want to buy some to take home.

So, this time we visited the new "Niku no Manyou" store, "Niku no Manyou Akiba Place Store. The recent closure of the "Niku Building" made me a little sad, but I am glad to see that the taste of "Manzei" has been preserved in the same Akihabara location, albeit in a different form.

Why don't you come back and taste the flavor of "Parko" again?
