The Akihabara branch of the Belgian frites stand "bintje.", which we recently reported on in a preliminary report, had its grand opening on May 2.


The bintje. store is located in the same building as the formerkebab store " otto kebab" in Akihabara. Akihabara branch opened in the former tenant of the kebab shop "otto kebab. The location is about a three-minute walk from Suehirocho Station.
F ritz stands are said to be a common style of store in Belgium. (During the interview, it was impressive that a customer who actually lived in Belgium for several years bought a fritz with a nostalgic look on his face.


There are three sizes: "Anime-size", "Large", and "Regular". As the name suggests, the "Anime-size" is a "heaping pile that looks like it belongs in an anime" and is a size available only at the Akihabara store.

In addition to Fritz's, there is a full lineup of drinks ......, or rather, alcoholic beverages. According to the manager, "We hope you will enjoy the Fritz with alcohol! The manager says, "We hope you'll pour our frites with alcohol! The combination of fries and beer...... is a guilty pleasure!
Alcoholic beverages are not available for those under 20 years old.


Eating and drinking are allowed at the counter inside the restaurant or on the benches in the storefront. Personally, I recommend getting your Fritz on a bench with a sense of freedom.

So, I started eating the frites right away! This time, I tried the large size.


Fritz's are deep-fried only after receiving orders, so they are always fresh and flaky when you eat them! And yet, the outside is still crispy! The secret is the aforementioned double frying. First, the fritters are slowly cooked at a low temperature, and then deep-fried at a high temperature.

This time, I tried it with rich black truffle mayonnaise and pepper mayonnaise scented with black pepper.

The rich black truffle mayonnaise has a rich flavor that adds depth to the potato's deliciousness, while the pepper mayonnaise with black pepper has a nice combination of subtle potato sweetness and a piquant spiciness that whets the appetite!


This is a good combination of sweet potato and spicy pepper mayonnaise!
...... Unfortunately, I was in the middle of an interview in Akihabara, so I was only able to enjoy the frites this time, but next time I definitely want to visit in private and try it with alcohol!
Some of the dips are only available for a limited time. If you are interested, ask the staff.

After eating the large size, I was so full that I did not need any more lunch. Yet, I could hardly feel any oiliness, and the taste was light and refreshing. I didn't have any stomach upset after the meal. I feel like I have a new option for a quick and easy lunch while walking around town.
