Taiyuki's Weekend Plastic Model Kit Vol.91 1/10 MP [MS GENERAL] GREED
Plastic modeling is fun, isn't it?
Well, this time, we are going to try the second "sin" series "GREED-Greed-" of the popular plastic model for beautiful girls "MS GENERAL"!
This kit is made by the Chinese manufacturer "MP|LE+" and is imported and sold in Japan by Doyusha. Some of you may have been intimidated by the size of the box at the model store. In my case, my "excitement" for plastic models is directly translated into "interest" in them. I am pleased to introduce to you a kit that has aroused my interest in plastic models.
Let's start with the box. The box has a handle and is about the size of a small household appliance. As soon as it arrives at my house, my heart swells with anticipation.
The front of the package. It features a character based on this female pirate and illustrations of a shark, a ray, and a whale mecha. The illustration makes use of the area of the box to emphasize the huge size of the whale mecha in the back.
On the back of the package, you will find the contents and profiles of the female pirates.
I am sure you have already noticed. This kit is a huge set that includes kits for practically four different characters. Hence, this review will also cover the contents of the four kits.
Let's take a look at them one by one.
Female pirate GREED!
First, let's start with a kit featuring a beautiful girl with a female pirate motif. According to her profile, she is GREED, aka "Greedy. She has inherited the legacy of Atlantis and is traveling as the master of a ghost ship.
The parts division is skillfully done, and even without painting, this color classification.
In my case, the assembly time was about 4 hours and 30 minutes, including the weapons.
The color-coding is so detailed that there are a lot of parts.
Clear purple parts are used for the collar and other parts, giving the figure a cool appearance.
In the center of the triangular hat, there is a clear part that looks like an amethyst. I wonder how many carats it is.
The face parts come with both painted and unpainted parts. Using the water-transfer decals also included, you can create your original facial expressions.
The body line is also very lean and wonderfully styled. Although the parts are finely divided, there is almost no stress in assembling. However, since the connection shafts and other parts are small, it may be safer to glue and fix all parts except for the movable parts.
The split lines on the thighs allow for roll rotation. Armored parts next to the waist are also movable.
Shoes are also color-coded as you can see.
Stand can be attached to the joint holes on the back. It allows you to enjoy posing more freely than if it were standing on its own.
There is a cover part for the joint hole, so you can cover the stand when not in use.
The armor on the back of the waist is very skillfully color-coded.
The back armor is stacked vertically. Despite its thinness, it is assembled with several parts. It is difficult to convey in words, but this is the impressive point of this kit. In addition to this part, we have been impressed many times in the assembly delivery, so if you like, please take a look at that as well.
The side armor of the waist is also covered with clear parts.
Posing with the included stand. Multiple replacement parts are also included for the wrists.
The stand is screwed in place, so you can tighten or loosen the screws as needed. Be careful not to tighten the screws too much as they may break if you try to move the figure with them too tight.
This is GREED's hand-held weapon, the "Key of Atlas.
It is an anchor-type weapon, and according to the setting in the instruction manual, this is the anchor of the ghost ship as it is. Mirror stickers are attached under the clear parts.
A special pedestal part for holding the "Key of Atlas" is also included.
A ship's anchor is quite heavy, but it is nice to see a slender person like GREED wielding it with ease.
By connecting the chain parts, long-range attacks are also possible.
Another version of the head is included, equipped with a mask.
In addition, one "Atlantis Costume" part is included for each arm and leg. One arm can be replaced with a hook, and one leg can be replaced with a leg part with built-in dark device.
Mask with skull design. The design is typical of the captain of a ghost ship. The wound on the left side facing you, was it received during the journey?
Speaking of the captain, there is a hook. The hook is a rather large melee weapon.
The right leg is even sharper. From the heel to the calf, it is a very thin clear part.
If you were to be hooked by such a huge hook, you would be doomed. The expressionless face amplifies the fear of the enemy.
Even if you are able to escape from its hands, you must not let your guard down.
The blade of the right leg will attack you!
If you remove the black shadow part of the mask, you will see the eyes of GREED. I was struck by the look in her eyes. Isn't it cute?
If I become her subordinate and serve her, I might be able to see this kind of expression....
Here are all the face parts. Choose the one that fits your pose.
This is the end of GREED.
Next, we will introduce each mech.
Shark-shaped mecha "BENZEASIC INK".
Next is the shark-shaped mecha "Benzethick Ink. It is a small ship with high attack power and can be used as a GREED weapon.
Both the bow and each fin are sharply sculpted for an aggressive design. There are four red clear parts placed on the part that corresponds to the eyes, two on the left and two on the right.
Assembly took approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Through the gaps between the body parts, you can catch a glimpse of the internal mechanical parts. This is a glimpse that stimulates mechanical enthusiasts.
The stand can be connected to the joint at the bottom of the ship.
Pectoral fins are connected with ball joints.
The body part is ball-joint connected at the joints, so it can be moved smoothly.
A laser cannon is equipped in the mouth. It is likely to jump out of the water, catch the enemy by surprise, and try a one-strike-and-detach strategy.
The back part of the body can be detached and connected to the GREED arm. This allows for shooting. The holding power of the arms is also quite good.
It can be equipped on either the left or right side, as you prefer.
Stingray-type mecha "Rhodes
Next is the ray-shaped mecha "Rhodes". Equipped with a variety of acoustic devices, it is a submarine cruiser with anti-submarine, escort, patrol, warning, reconnaissance, and landing support functions.
It is a stunning ray silhouette. The coloring has more white areas than the "Benzesic Ink" to differentiate the impression.
The assembly time was approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes.
Bottom. You can see the stand connection joint.
The rear main thruster can change direction largely by ball joints.
Tail has ball joint connection at each section. Equipped with spines made of clear parts at the tip.
Left and right fins are movable up and down at each section. Some parts are connected by extremely thin shafts, so care should be taken when assembling.
The jaw-like parts of the bow are also ball-joint connected. The parts that correspond to the eyes are clear red parts.
Some parts of the armor have pre-painted white lines.
The hatch on the top side can be opened to expose the clear parts inside. What kind of functionality is provided here?
The white armor on the bottom is movable and has a gill-like molding. From a mechanical point of view, I imagine that it is a hover function for gliding on the sea surface.
Can be connected to a stand. It is somewhat heavy, so you may want to tighten the screws on the prop a little.
It was a little difficult to balance the GREED when trying to stand it on top with it on the stand, so I placed it directly on the stand to reproduce the package appearance.
Whale-shaped mecha "Amphitrite
Last but not least, the whale-shaped mecha "Amphitrite"! The flagship of the Melville Eradication class, it is said that in battle it uses its squid-shaped floating cannon to intimidate and disturb the enemy, and its plasma main gun to destroy them.
The part of the armored part near the bow is also painted. It took about 5 hours to assemble.
It is quite large.
Bottom surface. The top surface looks purple, but the bottom surface looks whitish.
Removing the hexagonal part on the bottom reveals an indentation for connecting to a dedicated display.
Here is the display on the dedicated display. The tail part is further supported by a support part.
The chin part has a beard-like design, perhaps inspired by a baleen whale. The red eyes are also eye-catching.
The upper part of the bow. There is a flat surface like a deck. Each of the armored parts in this area is huge.
The mouth is equipped with a gimmick to open and close it.
When the mouth is opened, the plasma main gun protrudes from inside. When the mouth is closed, the plasma cannon is retracted in the same manner. It is very fun to touch.
There are three main thrusters in the center of the tail fin. The output seems to be high.
The base of the pectoral fin swings up and down.
The fin itself is movable at the connection to the base of the pectoral fin.
The fins open and close, and can also rotate at the connection.
The tail fin is connected to the shaft, but can move up, down, left, and right.
In addition, each section can be twisted.
The tail fin swings up and down around the main thruster axis.
The display pedestal part has a locking mechanism and can be fixed at several angles.
The GREED can also be mounted as a ride-on.
First, open the back panel and deploy the grips on the inside. Remove some of the purple parts.
Expand the panel that comes around the front of the shin, replace GREED's wrists with grips, and ride on!
Squid-shaped floating cannon
Here is a squid-shaped floating cannon. The number of legs is omitted, but the silhouette is certainly a squid, but what do you think? The squid mecha was assembled together with the pedestal, and the time required was 2 hours and 45 minutes.
There are large clear parts for eyes. The cannon muzzle is reproduced in the center of the head with red clear parts. It looks like she might run into enemies with her sharp head.
The legs are also movable. Be careful how much force you apply when moving them, as they are small parts.
The squid mecha can also be connected to the prop.
All parts except for the whale can now be displayed on the display stand. Note that three display stands are included.
Storage ......? All mecha can be combined with each other!
Benzethick Ink, Rhodes, Amphitrite, and Float Cannon can be combined, ...... or rather mounted on the whale mecha Amphitrite. Let's take a look at the sequence.
Remove the internal mechanism from inside the Rhodes, which looks like a simplified shark mecha.
The parts configuration and coloring have been simplified, but the front part has almost the same shape as the benzethick ink.
Separate the tail section as shown.
Close and remove the tip of the tail fin of the Benzesic Ink.
Connect the tail of the Rhodes with the tail of the Benzethick Ink as an extension of the tail of the Benzethick Ink and attach the tail fin tip of the Benefit.
The Benzethick ink is then stored in the Rhodes. The Rhodes becomes a Rhodes with a longer tail fin. There does not appear to be a separate combined name for this form.
Since the fins of Benzethick Ink have also been added, it seems that its mobility in the water has been enhanced. In addition, the parts are separated from this state and combined with the amphitrite!
Remove the left and right fins of Rhodes and attach the attachment parts to the connection of the fins. All of the fins of the Benzethick ink are also removed.
Remove the pectoral fins of Amphitrite and attach the fins of Rhodes to make it huge.
Remove the central armor of the tail fins and attach the dorsal fins of the Benzesic ink.
Connect the pectoral fin of the amphitrite to the bottom of the caudal fin.
Open the upper hatch of the amphitrite and remove the internal mechanical parts.
On the left side of the image, remove the mech-colored block to store the main body of Rhodes.
Raise the catapult parts above the eyes of the Amphitrite and close the armor on both sides.
Attach the squid-shaped float cannon to the catapult to complete the storage of each mecha. For a total of five mecha are combined into one form. The weight has been further increased by combining the densely packed Rhodes, Benzethick Ink, etc. inside the originally large Amphitrite.
The tail fins are so large that they look like the tail of a spaceship.
Frontal view. The pectoral fins have become larger and more powerful.
There are no additional parts in the section of the body, but the front and back of the body have been enlarged to a good size, so it looks quite impressive. Whether you choose to enjoy it in its separate or combined state, you will likely be able to enjoy this as a snack either way. (You have to be 20 years old before you can drink)
I put GREED on top of the whale. It cannot be fixed, but if you balance it on the three points of the Atlas key and both feet, you can manage to make it stand up and have a cool view.
Water transfer decals are also included.
However, since this kit is a large volume, practically four pieces, it takes a lot of concentration and time to assemble. Therefore, we recommend that you take your time to assemble the kit during the Golden Week holidays, instead of trying to complete it in one easy weekend!
