Rubik's Cube becomes a Chogokin Robot? Chogokin Rubik's Cube" goes on sale in October!
MegaHouse will release a variety of commemorative products to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the invention of the Rubik's Cube. As part of these commemorative products, the company announced that it will release a collaborative product, "Chogokin Rubik's Cube," in October 2024 to mark the 50th anniversary of BANDAI SPIRITS' "Chogokin" brand.
Chogokin" is a product brand of BANDAI SPIRITS that uses composite materials including die-cast (zinc alloy) to create products with the weight of a robot and the feel of mechanics.
The "Chogokin Rubik's Cube" is made of die-cast material and is approximately the same size as the official Rubik's Cube (5.7cm x 5.7cm x 5.7cm), and transforms to become a robot. Unlocking, which triggers the transformation, is activated by rotating a part of the cube like a "Rubik's Cube. The chest panel can be fired with a rocket punch gimmick.
The company plans to release more products and events commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Rubik's Cube in the future.
