This is a remake of "Paper Mario RPG" released for the GameCube in 2004. After receiving a letter from Princess Peach asking him to help her in her treasure hunt, Mario heads to the meeting place, Gorotsuki Town, but he cannot find Princess Peach. He then learns from Dr. Franklin that the "1,000 Year Tobira" leads to the treasure and that seven "Star Stones" are needed to open the Tobira, and sets off on a journey to find the Star Stones.

The Story

Mario receives a letter from Princess Peach asking him to help her in her treasure hunt, and arrives in "Rocket Town. However, Princess Peach is nowhere to be found.

In search of clues to Princess Peach, Mario visits Dr. Franklin, a treasure researcher in town, and learns that the "1,000 Year Doorway" leads to the treasure, and that seven "Star Stones" are needed to open the doorway.

Thinking that if he follows the treasure, he will be able to meet Princess Peach, Mario and Christine, whom he met in town, set off on an adventure in the paper world to find the Star Stones.

Also, it seems that not only Mario but also Bowser is looking for Princess Peach. ......

The adventure takes place in a paper world full of encounters and surprises

In the places you visit, various events occur: a giant dragon awaits you, the people who live there suddenly turn into pigs, and incidents occur on the train.

At first glance, Mario may encounter places that seem impassable, but he uses his flimsy body to get into tight spaces, transforms into a paper airplane and flies through the air, and other actions unique to paper to make his way through the world.
