The popular manga "Hanazakari no Kimitachi e", which has sold more than 17 million copies, is now being planned as an anime!

An anime project of "Hanazakari no Kimitachi e" (Hanatoyume Comics/Hakuizensha), written by Hisaya Nakajo, has been decided and is in progress.

This work depicts the school drama surrounding Mizuki Ashiya, a girl who transfers from the U.S. to a boys' school in order to meet Izumi Sano, the man of her dreams. The series was serialized in "Hana to Yume" (Hakusensha) from issue #20 in 1996 to #18 in 2004, and 23 volumes of the book were published by Hana to Yume Comics.

A teaser visual depicting Mizuki Ashiya, Izumi Sano, and Shuichi Nakatsu was released to coincide with the release of this information. A teaser website was also opened.

We have been discussing the contents of this project with Mr. Hisaya Nakajo for some time.
Mr. Nakajo was looking forward to seeing the world of "Hana-kun" spun in a way different from manga while looking at character rough drafts and scenarios.

It is a great pity that we were not able to see the completed version with Mr. Nakajo, but thanks to the enthusiastic support of our readers, we are very grateful that "Hana Zakari no Kimitachi e" is once again moving forward in the form of an anime, 20 years after its completion.
