BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division will dedicate a new Gunpla product manufactured and sold by the company, "MG 1/100 Musha Gundam Mk-II Tokugawa Ieyasu Nanban Bodo-Gusoku Ver." to Nikko Toshogu Shrine on May 26 (Sun), 2024, in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of Nikko Toshogu Shrine's registration as a World Heritage Site, and will begin advance sales at Nikko Toshogu on May 27 (Monday), and advance sales will begin at Nikko Toshogu Shrine on the 27th.

The Gunpla "MG 1/100 Musha Gundam Mk-II Tokugawa Ieyasu: Nanban Gusoku Ver." is based on the colors and helmet of the "Nanban Gusoku" (displayed in the treasury of Nikko Toshogu) that Tokugawa Ieyasu is said to have worn during the Battle of Sekigahara. The red color of the kusazuri and other parts of the helmet is represented by stickers made of Japanese paper, while the crest of the mitsuba hollyhock is represented by glossy stickers.

A dedication ceremony will be held on Sunday, May 26, and the product will be displayed at Nikko Toshogu Shrine.


On the following day, Monday, May 27, from 9:00 am when the gates open, the Omiki (sacred sake) awarding station (on the left as you enter the gate) will start selling the items in advance. Later, it will be sold at "THE GUNDAM BASE," the official Gunpla general facility, "Premium Bandai," the official mail order site of Namco Bandai Group, and other events.

Background of the project

Nikko Toshogu Shrine, a shrine in Nikko City, Tochigi Prefecture, which is familiar with plastic models, will celebrate the 25th anniversary of its registration as a World Heritage Site in 2024. BANDAI SPIRITS has decided to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Nikko Toshogu's World Heritage registration by producing and dedicating a Gunpla model kit named after Nikko Toshogu in order to contribute to "local development utilizing plastic models" in Nikko City.
