[Closed] "Beck's Coffee Shop" and "Uzushio" on the Electric Town Exit side of JR Akihabara Station, closed on 5/6!

Akihabara is a town where various stores open and close daily. Beck's Coffee Shop, a cafe, and Uzushio, a sushi restaurant, both located in front of the Electric Town Exit of JR Akihabara Station, the entrance to Akihabara, were closed on Monday, May 6.

The Electric Town Exit of JR Akihabara Station faces the plaza where Akihabara's landmark Daibiru and TAMASHII NATIONS STORE TOKYO are located. This is the face of Akihabara, where businessmen, tourists, street performers, and suspicious-looking people of all kinds pass by every day.



The cafe "Beck's Coffee Shop" and sushi restaurant "Uzushio" that had opened there closed on Monday, May 6, 2024.



According to the announcement from "Beck's Coffee Shop," the reason for the closure is due to station improvement work.

JR Akihabara has long announced that it will be undertaking improvement work on the premises of its Ecute Akihabara eco-commercial facility in preparation for its opening in the spring of 2025. The station's food and beverage zone "TOKYO FOOD BAR" and ramen store "Kyushu Jangara" also closed their business on May 6.
