The frenzy, once again! THE FIRST SLAM DUNK" will be screened again on August 13th (Tuesday)! Exclusive distribution on Netflix will begin on June 10 (Mon.)!

The revival screening of "THE FIRST SLAM DUNK" will be held at more than 300 movie theaters nationwide from August 13, 2024 (Tuesday). It was also announced that "THE FIRST SLAM DUNK" will be distributed exclusively in Japan on Netflix from June 10 (Mon.), 2024.

SLAM DUNK" was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" from 1990 to 1996 and has been adapted into TV anime, theater anime, and video games. It is a milestone in basketball manga, with many boys and girls taking up basketball all over Japan, and a scholarship program was established.
The movie "THE FIRST SLAM DUNK," which was released on December 3, 2022, was written and directed by the original author, Takehiko Inoue, and was a huge hit, grossing over 15.5 billion yen (as of May 28) and recording the No. 1 box-office revenue in Japan in 2023, including Western and Japanese markets.

It has been decided that the revival screening of the movie "THE FIRST SLAM DUNK" will be held at more than 300 movie theaters nationwide starting on August 13 (Tuesday). (Screening theaters and sales schedule will be announced soon.)

In celebration of the August revival, it was also announced that the film will be distributed exclusively in Japan on Netflix, one of the world's largest online entertainment service providers, from June 10 (Mon.).
This will be the first time that this film will be distributed, and it will be an opportunity to enjoy the excitement of the revival in theaters anywhere and anytime in preparation for the upcoming summer screening.
