TV Anime "Frozen Tile - Urareit Mahjong Touhouroku" to air in October 2024! Main cast includes Kosuke Tanabe, Ai Firouzu, and Shunsuke Takeuchi!

Frozen Tile - Ura-Rate Mahjong Touroku" is a mahjong story about a high school boy, Kei (a.k.a. "Ice K"), who roams around a back-rate mahjong parlor where money, women, organs, and desires stir, and survives in the underworld while falling into various predicaments. An anime version is in the works. An anime adaptation is in the works, directed by Jun Hatori, with music by Yusuke Shirato and Yuuki Kishida, and animation production by East Fish Studio.

It was announced that the TV anime "Frozen Tile - Urareit Mahjong Touhouroku" will be broadcast in October 2024.

The main cast has also been revealed.
Kosuke Tanabe will play the role of Kei, a high school student mahjong player who makes his living as a substitute player, Ai Fayrouz will play the role of Amina, an exotic girl, and Shunsuke Takeuchi will play Doujima, a skilled mahjong player in the underworld. Comments from the cast and photos taken for the production have also arrived.

Characters

Kei (CV: Kosuke Tanabe)

A high school student who makes a living as a substitute player while studying. He is also known as "K of Ice.
He has an uncommonly good memory and is good at theoretical moves.

Amina (CV: Fayrouz Ai)

A girl from another country. She was smuggled into the underworld by human traffickers and has no family register or nationality.
After meeting Kay, she is adopted by Kay.

Doshima (CV: Shunsuke Takeuchi)

A well-known mahjong player in the underworld.
He excels at intuitive play and also possesses uncommon luck.

My name is Kosuke Tanabe, and I will be playing the role of Kei, the "K of Ice.
If you have seen the original story, you must have wondered if it could really be made into an anime. I'm Kosuke Tanabe and I play the role of Kei, the "K of Ice".　I thought so too.
But at the same time, I am very happy to be able to watch "Frozen Tile" as an anime and to be able to play the role of Kei!　But at the same time, I was also very happy to be able to play the role of Kay!　I will play the role with all my heart and soul!
I used to be a police officer, so I am able to play the main character in an underground world, and I also feel the real pleasure of being an actor!

I have always been interested in this work because I like mahjong works, and I started reading the original work after my audition!　I was hooked at once!
