SAKAMOTO DAYS," which has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump (published by Shueisha) since 2020, will be adapted into a long-awaited TV anime in January 2025.

SAKAMOTO DAYS" by Yuto Suzuki is a popular manga serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump (published by Shueisha) with a total circulation of over 5 million copies.

It is a solid action story about a former legendary assassin, Taro Sakamoto, who fights with his friends against the oncoming assassins in order to protect his peaceful daily life with his beloved family.

The teaser visual and teaser PV were released in conjunction with the decision to make an anime.

The hard-boiled visual shows the present and past of the main character, Taro Sakamoto. The teaser PV shows a glimpse of the members of Sakamoto Shoten, which will be the core of the story centering on Taro Sakamoto, and also includes action scenes, which is one of the highlights of the film.

Tomokazu Sugita will play the role of Taro Sakamoto, directed by Masaki Watanabe ("Battle Spirits" series, "Bartender"), and animated by TMS Entertainment, the company responsible for the "Dr. Stone" series and "Weak Mushi Pedal" series. When I read the manga "SAKAMOTO DAYS" for the first time, I remember how excited I was by the powerful action depicted in the manga. I wanted to create an animated film "SAKAMOTO DAYS" based on this feeling by adding elements of "movement," "color," and "sound" that only visual images can provide, to create a dynamic and fast-paced work.

We also want to portray Sakamoto's character as a family-oriented, non-killing hitman without forgetting the humor that is scattered throughout the original story.
