Retro Shaved Ice and Book Vending Machines Became Plastic Models! Hasegawa's interesting new plastic models and tools [62nd Shizuoka Hobby Show]!

The 62nd Shizuoka Hobby Show was held at Twinmesse Shizuoka in Shizuoka Prefecture from May 8 (Wed) to 12 (Sun), 2024.

This event is one of the largest model and hobby events in Japan, and is held annually in Shizuoka Prefecture, where many model manufacturers gather. This year, a total of 97 companies and 2 organizations exhibited, far exceeding last year's event.
This year, the 8th and 9th are vendor invitation days, and the 10th is an invitation day for local elementary, junior high, and high school students to familiarize themselves with the model culture. The 11th and 12th were open to the public.

Akiba Research Institute was there again to cover the event! Let us introduce you to some of the new items we found at the booths of various manufacturers.

This article features Hasegawa, a long-established manufacturer. A retro vending machine from the old days has been made into a plastic model! We also introduce some new tools that you may find useful.
