Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) has announced that the new PlayStation 5 title "Astrobot" will be released on Friday, September 6, 2024.

Announced at the State of Play on May 31, 2024, the game will explore six galaxies and more than 80 stages as you and Astro search for your scattered fellow bots. More information about the game will be announced soon.

Pre-orders will be accepted from June 7 (Fri.).

Since the launch of PS5 and "Astro's Playroom," this series has been popular for its fun games, unique use of the DualSense wireless controller, and homage to the 25-year history of PlayStation. Astro returns with the biggest, super-biggest space adventure ever.

In this latest installment, players explore six galaxies and more than 80 stages in search of Astro's scattered friends.
Hold on tight to your "dual speeder" and dive into unique planets!

From lush forests, sandy beaches, and scorching volcanoes to giant hourglasses and singing trees, you'll be in for a surprise.

Astro has more than 15 new power-ups available for missions, allowing him to develop a unique style of play.
The Astro game takes full advantage of the DualSense wireless controller's haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, so you can feel every little step you take during play. New power-ups include the "Bulldog Booster," which lets you airdash through enemies, metal, and glass; the "Twin Frog Glove," which allows you to punch and swing for long distances; and the "Frog Glove," which sucks up water from your surroundings to grow into a giant. The "Giant Sponge" sucks up water from its surroundings and grows into a giant, breaking various objects as it goes. Along with Astro's evolved controls, these new power-ups take the Astro platform experience to new heights, while making it accessible to all.

The game also features more than 70 new types of enemies, including a giant boss at the end of each galaxy. Lady Venomara, the vicious cobra queen shown in the trailer, awaits you in her golden lair. For those who are up for a challenge, there are also hard stages that will keep you coming back for more.

In addition, Astro will be reunited with many of his friends from the PlayStation world. Although the trailer only shows a small portion of the game, the number of familiar character bots has been further enhanced to offer something for all PlayStation fans.
Perhaps these characters will play an even more important role and save the day at ......?
