Announced the production of "The Angry Birds Movie 3", the third Angry Birds animated feature film!

Rovio Entertainment ("Rovio"), a Sega Group company, along with Prime Focus Studios, announced today that it has enlisted DNEG Animation as its animation partner to begin production on "The Angry Birds Movie 3" (original title). Rovio and Prime Focus Studios will produce the film in collaboration with One Cool Group Ltd, Flywheel Media and Dentsu.

The film will be the third in a series of animated feature films based on Rovio's popular mobile game "Angry Birds," which has been downloaded more than 5 billion times worldwide (as of 2022), and follows the adventures of Red, an angry boy with trademark thick eyebrows, and Chuck, a talkative and well-behaved character, following the two films in the series The third film in the animated series, and the follow-up to the first two. Jason Sadeikis, winner of the Golden Globe and Primetime Emmy Award for Best Actor for his role in "Ted Russo: Coach Ted Russo," and Josh Gad, who voiced Olaf the snowman in Disney's hit animated film "Anna and the Snow Queen," will portray Red and Chuck, respectively. will continue to voice the character as he did in the first two films.


The first film, "Angry Birds" in 2016, was number one in 50 countries upon its release, grossing over US$350 million worldwide, and along with its sequel, "Angry Birds 2" (2019), the last two films have grossed over US$500 million worldwide.


Directed by John Rice ("Angry Birds," Beavis and Butt-Head Do The Universe) and Sir Op van Orman ("Angry Birds 2," "Adventure Time," Flapjack), with Toru Nakahara (Sonic The Movie series, Sonic Prime, Bare Knuckle) as executive producer, and John Cohen (Ghost in the Shell 3D, The Garfield Movie) as executive producer.
