Assassin's Creed Shadows gameplay footage released! Gameplay of two main characters revealed!

On June 11, 2024, Ubisoft released gameplay footage of "Assassin's Creed Shadows," the latest title in the series set in 16th century Japan, on Ubisoft Forward.

Led by Ubisoft Québec, the game will be available for Ubisoft+, PlayStation5, Xbox Series X|S, Mac with Apple silicon (Mac App Store), and Windows PC (Ubisoft Store/Epic Games Store) The game will be released on November 15 (except for the Standard Edition, which will be available from November 12 in Early Access, which can be played three days before its release). It was also announced that the game will be released for the iPad as well.

In the gameplay video, Naoe and Yasuke are hunting down evil-doers in Fukuchiyama, a castle town in Tamba. The video features two main characters with complementary fighting styles: Naoe, a ninja with excellent stealth, and Yasuke, a samurai who specializes in combat.

In the early stages of the game, Naoe and Yasuke face off as adversaries, but they gradually unite toward a common goal. Players can switch between the two characters at any time in the open world and use their unique skills and weapons to deal with the situation. Players will confront their enemies in a variety of ways in order to usher in a new era in Japan.

As a shinobi assassin, she can use a variety of tools to attack while lurking in the shadows, including the stealthy air assassin, a grappling rope or kunai that can be used for movement, and a hidden blade (Hidden Blade) to quickly eliminate enemies. Although somewhat fragile in close combat, he can skillfully parry enemy attacks, evade or accurately execute a cutback, and take advantage of light, the surrounding environment, and buildings to defeat his enemies.

excels in head-on combat due to his superior fighting skills and well-trained weaponry. In addition to striking with a single sword, delivering a powerful blow with a metal club, and intercepting enemies from a distance with a firearm, Yasuke is capable of dealing with multiple enemies simultaneously.
In "Assassin's Creed Shadows," the player uses a team of secret agents to gather information. Send your secret agents to various locations for reconnaissance to uncover the whereabouts and actions of your targets, as well as the secrets hidden in the world.

Ubisoft+ subscribers and purchasers of the Gold Edition, Ultimate Edition, and Collector's Edition will be able to enjoy the game through Early Access, which will begin on November 12, three days before the game's release.
