Kodansha's world popular comic "Gachi-Acta," a fusion of manga and graffiti art, will be adapted into a TV anime in 2025.

Gachi-Acta" is a battle action comic featuring Ludo, an orphaned boy born in a slum where the descendants of criminals live, and was serialized in Kodansha's "Weekly Shonen Magazine" from February 2022 by manga artist Kei Urana and graffiti design artist Hideyoshi Yando. Urana thought that incorporating graffiti art would make the manga more interesting, so he enlisted the help of graffiti artist Shukichi Yandou to create the manga.

The world popular comic "Gachi-Acta" (manga by Kei Uraina, graffiti design by Hideyoshi Yando), currently serialized in Kodansha's "Weekly Shonen Magazine", will finally be adapted into a TV anime in 2025!

The director is Fumihiko Suganuma, director of "Arikuten Kazoku" (director), "SHIROBAKO" (director), and "THE FIRST SLAM DUNK" (director),
Koji Seko, who worked on "Shinkage no Kyojin The Final Season" (series composition and script) and "WIND BREAKER" (series composition and script), is series composition, and character design and chief animation director is "A.I.C.O. Incarnation" (character design and chief animation director), Satoshi Ishino, character designer and chief animation director of "Godzilla S.P." (character design and chief animation director) and "Godzilla S.P." (character design and chief animation director), respectively.
Animation production will be handled by BONES, the animation studio responsible for "Psalms of Planets Eureka seveN", "My Hero Academia" and "Fullmetal Alchemist".

Streetwise--this was the first word that came to mind when I read "Gachi Actor. The knowledge and insight that Urana-sensei and Hideyoshi-san have gained by learning not in a school classroom but on the streets, sometimes through painful experiences, and still surviving robustly, are scattered throughout this work. I believe that this is the reason why the work is so rough and tumble every time you turn the page. That is why every time I turn the page, I feel the wind of the old school street, which is rough and clumsy, but straight and strong, and nostalgic somehow. I can't help but love such works from the bottom of my heart.

A panel event for the TV anime "GACHIACTA" will be held at "Anime EXPO 2024," the largest anime exhibition in the U.S., in Los Angeles, California!

The panelists will talk about the behind-the-scenes story of the anime production with producers from BONES, the studio responsible for the animation production, and Avex, as well as the editor in charge of Kodansha.
