Plastic model examples, let's do it! In-depth review of "MODEROID Queen Cideron" by voice actor Yasuyuki Tai

When you are a working adult, you tend to have a lot of plastic models piled up in your busy life. ...... In this series, Yasuyuki Tai, a voice actor who loves robots and plastic models, takes on the challenge of building plastic models on your behalf!

The concept is "even busy working people can make it this far on their weekends off. There are only two rules: bare bones assembly and one or two days of production time! Read this series, and you will surely find the plastic model you want to build.

No. 93 MODEROID Queen Cideron

This time, we would like to introduce the "MODEROID Queen Cideron," which was released on the same day as the previously introduced "MODEROID King Scashers" by Good Smile Company!

Initially, only the "King Squasher" was on the list of candidates for review, but we could not ignore the Queen Cideron! So we dared to review it!

No, I'm going to "do it!

I'm now furiously building plastic models! Voice Actor Taiyuki's In-Depth Review of "MODEROID KING SKUSHER

The package design is a counterpart to the King Squasher.

Jowwah!"

Since we assembled the model at the same time as the King Squasher, the "extra touches" that we deliver at the end of each issue are applied first. The silver molded parts have been painted in silver, but other than that, it is a bare assembly.

As you can see, the style is perfectly reproduced. The head, which must be stored in the body when transformed, has been kept just large enough.

The back is neat and clean, with no backpack.

Goggles are clear parts. Inside there are molds of twin eyes that emit light when the figure transforms. Green and yellow patterns on the forehead and chest are painted parts. The red circle is a part division.

The black band on the knee is a sticker. All other parts are color-coded by dividing parts.

The gold and silver parts of the shield on the blue parts are painted. The accuracy of the paint is high. The rest of the parts are color coded.

Some of the movable parts are shown below.

The head is connected with ball joints, but it has a collar, so it can only rotate from side to side. The head can be moved forward and backward.

The spherical joint of the elbow can be pulled out a little and bent a little less than 90 degrees.

Furthermore, there is a rotation axis between the spherical part and the forearm, so there are no restrictions on the direction of the forearm when the elbow is bent.

The shield is fixed to the claw base of the arm. The silver round part of the forearm is also a separate part.

The shoulders can swing upward and forward. The arms also have a roll rotation axis between the second arm and shoulder. The legs can be opened horizontally as shown. There is no roll rotation from the thighs down, which was present in the King's Crusher, due to the different structure.

The knees bend about 90°, so it is possible to stand on one knee.

The ankle does not follow the toes as in the King's Crusher, but the heel part tilts inward, so the ground contact is surprisingly high.

The transformation of the Panther Claw is reproduced by replacement.

The claw can be attached to both sides. Sharp action suits.

I used "THE Simple Stand" (sold separately) to make the pose even faster. Toes are movable up and down to some extent, so you can add expressions.

A spear and whip are included as handheld weapons. The whip has a lead wire so it can be bent freely.

Ora ora ora!"

Each weapon can be equipped with a weapon handle.

The spear can also be attached to the weapon handle. Wrist parts are included as well as left and right flat hands.

The shoulders and arms have excellent mobility, so the spear can be held in both hands.

Next, it is time to transform.

Then, let's raise the blood pressure!

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo !!!!!!

What, MODEROID can deform without raising blood pressure?

Let's do it! YARIPANTHER!"

First, remove the shield.

Spread the hip joints to the left and right. Fold the toes while moving the armor from the knees down to cover the thighs, and deploy more Yari Panther heel parts from the heel block.

Pull out the panther claw and move it into position. After replacing the wrists with smaller ones for deformation, remove the wrist base once and reattach the wrists, making them fit into the arm side.

This completes the front legs of the Yari Panther.

Extend the headdress at the back of the head upward.

Open the chest and abdominal hatches.

Open the rear hatch as well.

Lift the head with the collar as an arm.

While moving the head, insert the headdress into the chest.

Continue to insert the headdress into the abdomen. This gimmick is an interesting interpretation!

Raise the shoulder armor straight up and lift the arms to the back.

The queen sidelong is almost completed when the queen sidelong is tucked behind the back.

Finish it off by attaching the shield, and you're all set! It's a wonderful deformation! The only plastic kit of the Queen Sidaron available at the time of the TV broadcast was the Shokugan, so this is truly a long-awaited kit!

I was also surprised to see how the leg armor locks into place by folding the toes.

The head can move up and down somewhat, as well as open and close the mouth.

From directly above. The body is almost completely covered by the shield.

From directly below. Unlike the King Squasher, this figure is neatly placed against the back of the Queen Cideron.

Although the body is deformed, it is movable, so you can enjoy dynamic poses.

The swing mechanism on the Queen Cideron's shoulders also does a great job.

Ramness: "Here we go! Da Sider!"

Da Sider: "Oh, yeah! Rum Ness!"

Royal Scar-ash!"

So I put them side by side with Samlion. I'm glad I reviewed the Queen Cideron as well. I'm grateful to the company for making the wise decision to release the two on the same day!

Next, a shot with King Squasher.

What a surprise! I'd love to have the rest of the guardian knights in the lineup as well!

Well, it's been more than 30 years since the TV broadcast of "Queen Cideron" was made into a kit. How was it?

I remember that "NG Knight Ramune & 40" was very popular among women when it was aired. We would like you to pick it up if you were a Da Cider fan or a Ramune fan!

By the way, I would like to ask male fans, which of the multiple female characters did you prefer? I think this is a very divisive question!

I'd love to discuss such topics as ...... with "Ramune & 40" fans someday.

With hopes for further lineup announcements in the future, I'll leave you here for this issue. See you again in another article.

Oh, by the way, I have always been a "Princess Cocoa" fan since then.
