Popular Girls' Manga "Tamon-kun, Which Way Now? Anime adaptation is decided! Illustrations drawn by Yuki Shihai, the original author, have arrived!

Tamon-kun Kon Dokodachi! is a popular girls' manga by Yuki Shihai. One day, the main character, a high school student Utage Kinoshita, goes to the house of Tamon Fukuhara of F/ACE, a very popular idol whom she is in love with, for her part-time job as a housekeeper! Tamon's true nature is the complete opposite of his sexy and wild idol image, and she does her best to support him with his low self-esteem..! It's a romantic comedy with a strong on/off ratio.

The series has sold more than 1 million copies including e-books, and was ranked No. 9 in the "Onna" section of "This Manga is Amazing! 2023" and No. 6 in the comics section of "Next Comic Award 2023. The anime adaptation was announced on the birthday of the idol Tamon Fukuhara, whom the main character, Utage Kinoshita, is pushing with all her might.

In response to the anime adaptation, a congratulatory illustration drawn by the original author, Yuki Shihashi, has arrived. It is a wonderful illustration depicting Tamon in full idol mode and Utage in full thrust.
A "Celebration of Tamon Fukuhara's Birthday 2024 Special Movie" using this illustration is also now on view. Mr. Shihashi commented, "It has always been my dream that my manga would become an anime, so I am very happy...! He also commented, "I've always dreamed of having my manga made into an anime, so I'm very happy...!

Along with illustrations and comments by Yuki Shihashi, the cast and main staff were announced.
The cast includes Saori Hayami (Utage Kinoshita), Sho Hatano (Tamon Fukuhara), Shoya Chiba (Sakaguchi Sakurari), Yu Hatanaka (Takahito Tachibana), Kohei Amasaki (Natsuki Ishibashi), and Ryuho Nagaoka (Rintaro Kai), who are all hot voice actors. It has always been my dream to have my manga made into an anime, so I am very happy...!
I am very excited to see how Utage and his friends will talk and move in the anime.
I am especially curious to see what kind of music will be created by the voice actors' voices, since it is impossible to express the music of F/ACE with only words and pictures.
The animation staff is currently hard at work preparing the music, and as the author, I look forward to helping them as I wait for the broadcast!

Saori Hayami (as Utage Kinoshita)

What is your impression of and fascination with "Tamon-kun, which way now? Please tell us your impression and fascination of the show.
The characters' personalities and gaps are interesting, and the balance of gag and seriousness is perfect. It is full of unwavering love for the characters, no matter what the situation, and it is depicted in various ways, sometimes so intensely that it goes out of control, and sometimes sincerely and delicately, so I am looking forward to seeing the film version.

─ What is your impression of the character you play and your enthusiasm for the film?
Utage-chan switches on and off too much, making Tamon-chan say, "Isn't she on and off more intensely than me? She is very expressive and sometimes goes out of control, but I think she is a lovely person who has big, straight thoughts at the bottom of her heart.
The audition script had such a gap that I couldn't believe it was the same person, so I went in full throttle. I was very happy when I found out I could do the voice. I would like to do the recording with a Tamon-kyo placard in my heart!

It is a story in which Utage, Tamon and the members of F/ACE grow through their relationships with many people! I also feel that the different faces of each member in their public and private lives and the warmth of the budding love between idols and fans are also attractive aspects of this work.

─ ─ What is your impression of the character you play and your enthusiasm for this work?
My first impression of Tamon was that he was dark-skinned, had low self-esteem, and was far from an idol.
However, after seeing various aspects of Tamon in the original work, I came to realize that he is a hardworking, competitive, and kind-hearted person. I will do my best not to "play" Tamon, but to work together with Tamon and the members of F/ACE to see the various landscapes together!

Shoya Chiba (Sakaguchi Sakurari)

What is your impression of and fascination with "Tamon-kun, which way now? Please tell us your impression and fascination of "Tamon-kun now which way!
Utage's enthusiastic cheering and vocabulary are described in a very comical way, but I was impressed by his straightforwardness as a person who sees both sides well by clearly separating the Tamon he is cheering for and the real Tamon without confusing them.
That is why I was amazed at the angle that when I read the book, I did not think, "Now that I am closer to the idol I am rooting for, I guess I have reached my goal. Even in the midst of such a high-tension development, the words that cheer up Tamon are so convincing that they stick in your mind and make a very strong impression on you.
The feelings that the members of F/ACE have are very realistic, so I was able to relate to and sympathize with the top idols, and I really enjoyed reading this work.

─ ─ What is your impression of the character you play and your enthusiasm for this work?
He is a highly professional person. During the audition, I was aware of the difference between Sakurauri's work face and the backbone and mentality of the axis, so I want to push it further.
As an actor, I respect and sympathize with him in many ways, and I want to express his subtle changes in feelings. I would like to play the role always keeping in mind what triggered my feelings and why I chose the words I did. I am very much looking forward to the atmosphere of the production and F/ACE that will be created with the other cast members.
I will do my best to make the role doubly attractive not only to Utage but also to the audience.

Yu Hatanaka (as Takato Tachibana)

Since we are the performers, we get the feeling of being supported by the fans through letters and events where we can see them face to face, but it's fun to know so much about the fans' inner lives, so we read the book very quickly!
Of course, we are voice actors, so it's totally different, but really, love is so interesting and kind...!
It is a work that teaches us such things!

You are the leader of F/ACE and seemingly soft-spoken, gentle and sweet. At first glance.
I would like people to see what kind of person I am by encountering this work, but in any case, it is a role that I have never played before.

What is your impression of and fascination with "Tamon-kun, which way now? Please tell us about your impressions and fascination with "Tamon-kun now which way!
The interaction between Utage-chan and the members of F/ACE is really interesting to watch. I used to be an otaku with a strong interest in anime, manga, video games, and voice actors, so I understand how it feels to be on the side of those who "push" works and people, and now, as a voice actor, I understand how it feels to be "pushed" by others. So I felt a lot of sympathy and emotion in this work, and found myself engrossed in reading it. But from Amasaki's point of view, I think that this work is not really about something that everyone can relate to. It is a profound work.

─ What is your impression of the character you play and your enthusiasm for this work?
Ishibashi Natsuki. I like him.
It is often said that there is a front face and a back face, but if you ask me if the back face is real and the front face is a lie, I think it is not true. The face you show on the outside can be filled with love, passion, and various other feelings. I think that the better a performer is, the more "real" he or she is. That is why they shine so beautifully.
I thought it was wonderful that this work portrayed the dark side of a person not only as a negative thing, but also as their humanity and charm. So I will do my best to play the "real" Natsuki!

I want to see the other side of the face of my favorite character, but I don't want to, but I still want to see it! I can't stop grinning! I can't stop grinning. All the characters are fascinating, and I kept reading thinking, "I'm going to guess this girl," but then I thought, "What? I was reading along thinking, "I'm sure I'll like this girl! I just keep reading and thinking, "I'm going to like this girl. I found myself liking them all, and in the end I couldn't choose just one! Rintaro-kun is a quiet boy who is surrounded by a mysterious atmosphere and is so enigmatic that he is asked to speak just one word. Please look forward to seeing what he looks like behind the scenes.
I am in charge of the rap part in the group, so I will be practicing my rap skills hard from now on!
