Animated film "The Lord of the Rings" to be released in December! A new animated LotR series by director Kenji Kamiyama, with the first three photos of the main characters!

On Tuesday, June 11 (local time), at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, the world's largest animation film festival currently being held in France, a press conference was held for the first original animated feature film in the "Lord of the Rings" series, "THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE WAR OF THE ROHIRRIM", the first original feature-length animated film in the "Lord of the Rings" series, was shown for the first time in the world at a press conference held at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival. In addition, three scene photos of the story's characters were unveiled.

The film is an original story that expands on the description of Helm, the mightiest king of Rohan, which is part of "The Lord of the Rings: The Complementary Edition. This winter in December, set 183 years before "The Lord of the Rings," the curtain will rise on a legendary battle that no one knows yet, leading to an epic adventure over the "One Ring," which has been filmed in three parts!

Based on J.R.R. Tolkien's masterpiece, Peter Jackson (director/co-writer) has made his mark on film history with his masterpiece "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy. The first film, "The Lord of the Rings" (2001), which depicted the beginning of the adventure, radically overturned the concept of fantasy films and was nominated for 13 Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Supporting Actor for Ian McKellan, and won four awards (Best Cinematography, Best Visual Effects, Best Makeup, and Best Original Score). The second film, "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers," received six nominations, including Best Picture, and won two awards (Best Visual Effects and Best Sound). The third film, "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King," the conclusion of the series, was nominated for a total of 11 awards (Best Picture, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Composition, Best Song, Best Art Direction, Best Costume Design, Best Makeup, Best Visual Effects, Best Sound, Best Editing). It became the most-winning film in U.S. Academy Award history, along with "Ben-Hur" (1959) and "Titanic" (1997). The film became an unprecedented blockbuster hit in Japan and around the world, grossing over US$2.98 billion (approximately ¥462.2 billion *according to Box Office Mojo/$1=155 yen), and its legend is still being passed down from generation to generation.

The film is being adapted by New Line Cinema, creators of the legendary "Lord of the Rings" trilogy and its prequel "The Hobbit" trilogy, in association with Warner Bros. Animation.
What is most remarkable is that Kenji Kamiyama, known for "Eden of the East," "Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex," and "The Guardian of the Spirit," which are supported by many enthusiastic fans in Japan and abroad, has been selected to direct this Hollywood blockbuster. The animation is produced by Studio Sola Entertainment, known for "Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 Sustainable Warfare," the anime "ULTRAMAN" and "Blade Runner: Black Lotus," with the company's Joseph Chow joining as producer. The film will also be produced by Philippa Bowen, who wrote the screenplays for the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy and all three "Hobbit" films, and who created the world of Middle-earth with Peter Jackson.

THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE WAR OF THE RINGS," which leads to the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, depicts the emotional lives of various races, including humans, elves, dwarves, and hobbits, as they compete for the "One Ring" that holds the power to rule the world. Set in Middle-earth 183 years before the trilogy, the film depicts the legendary battles of Rohan, the land of the horsemen who appeared in "The Lord of the Rings," as well as the fan-favorite battles of "The Horned Castle," "Helm's Deep," and "Helm's Deep," and the "The Horned Castle" and "Helm's Deep," which are all familiar to fans of the series. The origin of "Castle" and "Helm's Deep" will also be revealed. Will non-human races also make an appearance? We can't take our eyes off these and other future developments.

In the scene photos released worldwide, the members of the Rohan royal family are unveiled for the first time in a good old Japanese painting. The main character, Princess Hera, is seen confronting her enemies with her beautiful yet strong eyes. The glimpse of the enemy behind her is also interesting. The three children surrounding King Helm, Hera, Haleth, and Harma. And the piercing eyes of Wolf, who becomes his childhood friend and greatest enemy, are terrifying. What is the fate of King Helm's family! How will Hera and Wolf meet their fate!
