Korobokkuru, a tobacco shop/smoking space located along Akihabara's main street, Chuo-dori, closed its doors on Friday, June 14.

Korobokkuru, which had long been loved as a standard smoking space and tobacco shop in Akihabara, closed its doors on June 14, bringing an end to its 22-year history.

On the shutter of the store, there is a message of closure: "We would like to express our sincere gratitude for the support of our customers over the past 22 years since the old store and 13 years since we moved to this new location.


Korobokkuru originally opened in a building along the same Chuo-dori Avenue, a little closer to Suehirocho Station, but moved to its current location in November 2011. Since then, it has been a place of relaxation for smokers in Akihabara for 13 years.
