Romancing Saga 2: Revenge of the Seven

Romancing Saga 2 Revenge of the Seven" is a full 3D remake of "Romancing Saga 2" released in December 1993.

It depicts the battles between the ancient heroes "Seven Heroes" and the emperors of the Varennes Empire, with an epic storyline that unfolds in a free-form scenario and a "flash" and "formation" system that sets "Saga" apart from other RPGs. While maintaining the series' unique and groundbreaking system, the game system has been restructured to make it easier to play for both fans of the original and newcomers alike by introducing a new "linkage" system, revamping the growth system, and adding difficulty settings.
The vast world expressed in the original game with dots has been renewed in beautiful full 3D.
Leon, Gerard, and the Seven Heroes have also evolved into 3D visuals that retain the image of the original work, and event scenes are now fully voiced.

The company has announced that "Romancing Saga 2: Revenge of the Seven" will be released for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation5, PlayStation4, and Steam on Thursday, October 24, 2024. *Steam version will be released on Friday, October 25, 2024.

Story

The year 1000 of the imperial calendar.
A world in turmoil, where terrifying demons are rampant. People longed for the "legendary seven heroes" who were supposed to save such a world.
But ....
The legend was false.
In the midst of despair and sorrow, Emperor Leon swore to take revenge on the Seven Heroes by having his son Gerard pass on his power and memories in exchange for his own life.
Thus, the curtain rises on the "Poem of Faraway War" between the successive emperors of the empire and the Seven Heroes.

Shinichi Tazuke, producer of "Romancing Saga 2: Revenge of the Seven," and Kenji Ito, composer of the music, have commented on the game.

My name is Shinichi Tatsuki, producer of "Romancing Saga 2: Revenge of the Seven.
This is my first time to work on the Saga series.
About three years ago, after the development and release of "Trials of Mana TRIALS of MANA," for which I was the producer at the time, I was searching for the next title to produce with GENE Corporation, with whom I was working on the development.
Just at that time, I was invited by Mr. Kawazu and the Saga team to start development of this title.
After working on this title, I realized once again that Romasaga 2 is a very unique and fascinating game, both at the time and in the modern era.
The emperor succession, the free scenarios, the spark, the wonderful characters.
We believe that this game should be able to be played in the modern age, and we are very happy to be able to share our thoughts with those who have played it before, as well as those who are playing it for the first time,
We have made it easy to understand for those who have played the game before and for those who are playing it for the first time.
The entire team is working together in the last spurt of development.
