Steam version of "Kanon" available today, Thursday, June 20! Full voice and Steam Deck support!

Kanon" is the debut work of hit maker Key, creator of "AIR," "CLANNAD," and "Summer Pockets," and was released in 1999 for the PC.

It was a big hit in a new genre called "weibi-ge" (crying game), adding an emotional element to the romance adventure game genre. Since then, the game has been released on Dreamcast, PS2, PSP, and various other consoles, and has been adapted into an animated TV series twice.

Today, June 20 (Thursday), the Steam version of "Kanon" is available for download.

Previous Windows versions of the game did not include character voices, but the Steam version is fully voiced (the main character's voice is only heard in some parts) and is compatible with Steam Deck.

Text is available in three languages: Japanese, English, and Simplified Chinese (voice only in Japanese). The preferences and digital manual are also available in three languages, allowing you to switch between languages at any time during play.

Steam Deck Support

Fully compatible with the Steam Deck and Steam Deck OLED, the all-in-one portable PC game console sold by Valve Corporation.
When run on the Steam Deck, the game can be controlled by touching the screen as well as using buttons and triggers to send text, fast-forward, and fast-reverse.

Touch-controlled play is also possible.

On a tablet PC or a Steam Deck with a touch panel, the game can be played by touch operation only.

The main character.
When his parents are transferred overseas, he moves in with his aunt, whom he visited several times when he was a child.
For some reason, he does not remember much of what happened in this town. He also transfers schools and is placed in the same class as Nayuki.

Ayu Tsukimiya CV: Yui Horie

Ayu is a girl who meets Yuichi at a shopping street on the first day of moving to a new town.
She met Yuichi when she was on her way to eat and run away from him, and unfortunately bumped into him on the way.
She seems to go to a different school from Yuichi, and after that, they meet again and again in the town after school.

Minase Nayuki CV：Mariko Kokufuda

A girl who lives at a relative's house where Yuichi will be staying. They are cousins.
