Summer Anime "Kinnikuman" Perfect Choujin Hajime Hen, OP theme by Koji Takanashi x FLOW, ED theme and Episode 0 theme song sung by Kinnikuman (CV: Mamoru Miyano)! Eight additional cast members were also announced!

The original "Kinnikuman" was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) in 1979 by author Yudetamago (original scenario by Takashi Shimada, illustrations by Yoshinori Nakai). The series continues to be serialized in "Weekly Playboy" and "Shukupre NEWS" (both published by Shueisha). The series has sold more than 77 million copies.
The story is about Kinnikuman, a clumsy and stupid dropout from the planet Kinniku, who through hard work, friendship, and victory eventually grows into the strongest man in the superhuman fighting world. The anime has been broadcast since 1983, and the Kinnikeshi has become a huge hit, with 200 million units sold.

The new series is a continuation of the Kinnikuman Kinnikusei Kingship Contest Arc, and is directed by Yoh Satou, with series composition by Makoto Fukami, character design by Hiroki Marufuji, and music by Koji Takanashi, The role of Kinnikuman will be played by Mamoru Miyano, and the roles of Mayumi Kinniku and Prince Kamehame will be played by Akira Kamiya.

The OP/ED theme and the theme song for episode 0 were announced this time.
The OP theme is "LOVE & JUSTICE" sung by Koji Takanashi and FLOW. This song is the result of a special collaboration between Koji Takanashi, the world-famous composer of the PRIDE and Dynamite themes and the "NARUTO" series, and FLOW, who has composed the opening theme for "NARUTO" and many other anime theme songs. The ED theme is "Chonin" Kin.
The theme song for episode 0 is "Kinnikuman Go Fight!" by Kinnikuman (CV: Mamoru Miyano), and the lyrics for the OP theme song and episode 0 theme song were written by Yukinojo Mori.
Akira Kushida, who is in charge of the original "Kinnikuman Go Fight!" commented, "Miyano-kun, I will support you!

Eight new cast members were announced.
The newly announced cast includes Atsushi Tamaru as Special Man, Wataru Komada as Canadian Man, Akihiro Inaoka as Tileman, Kentaro Tone as Karekuk, Masayuki Kato as Benkiman, Hideo Ishikawa as Nok, Tetsuya Yanagihara as Kazuo Nakano, and Eriko Kadokura as Kimiko Nakano. We hope you will look forward to the appearance of these unique characters, who are indispensable to this work.

In addition, in the episode 0 to be broadcast on July 7, many scenes from the past series leading up to the perfect superhero origin story, including the monster extermination story, superhero Olympics story, seven demon superhero stories, golden mask story, dream superhero tag team story, and Kinniku Sei throne contention story, will be newly visualized as the 2026 Kinnikuman version for the first time in about 30 years.

I am so "happy" to be asked to collaborate with Yukinojo Mori, Hiroaki Suzuki, and the members of FLOW! That's all I can say!
I have worked with FLOW before at an anime event in the U.S., and I feel a sense of fate that we could collaborate on a single work like this.
I was very conscious of matching the cool guitar sound of FLOW's members!
As a member of the real "Kinnikuman generation," I read the series in real time, so I want to enjoy the work from the same perspective as the fans!

I never thought I would be able to sing "Kinnikuman Go Fight!
I was told that I would be singing as "Kinnikuman" with respect for Akira Kushida, so I studied the song "Go Fight!" that Akira Kamiya used to sing, and I tried to record it with Suguru's character in mind!

I was surprised when I first heard the demo of the ED song "Chojin" because it is a rap-based song with a high tone melody.
However, the vigorousness of this song is a great representation of "Kinnikuman" and I think it shows the spirit of the production team by taking on a new challenge that is unique to the 2021 version as a song. Since the notation will be the one sung by "Kinnikuman," we took on this challenge through trial and error to see how we could convince the fans of the song. I hope you enjoy it!

What is "Kinnikuman"?
Kinnikuman" was serialized in Shueisha's "Weekly Shonen Jump" magazine from 1979 to 1987 with 387 episodes. Kinnikuman II" was serialized in "Weekly Playboy" from 1998. Kinnikuman" and "Kinnikuman II" have sold over 77 million copies in total (12th place in history).
The TV animation series began airing in April 1983, with an average rating of 20%. 7 movies have also been produced.
In 2011, "Kinnikuman" resumed serialization for the first time in 24 years, and was selected as No. 7 in "This Manga is Awesome" in 2012. 2013 marked the 100th volume of the series, which will be serialized in "Weekly Playboy" in addition to "Shukupre NEWS" on the web in 2020.
