The original story anime "NINJA KAMUI" directed by Atsushi Park of "Jujutsu Kaisen" will begin airing on TOKYO MX on July 1, 2024 (Monday) at 24:00.

The Shinobi was once an organization created to maintain peace in the land of Hinomoto. Those who escaped from the organization became "outcast shinobi" and were hunted to the ends of the earth. The anime "NINJA KAMUI," an original story of Higan, an outcast Shinobi who has had his beloved family killed, will begin airing on TOKYO MX on July 1, 2024 (Monday) at 24:00.

Kenjiro Tsuda, who has been active as an actor as well as a voice actor in recent years, will be the voice cast of Higan. He plays the role of the protagonist, who is killed in front of his family and comes back to life in the mortuary, and confronts the underworld with anger and sadness, skillfully weaving his way through the story. Mr. Tsuda expressed his enthusiasm for the film, saying, "I was thrilled to be asked to participate in this film as the main character. The role of Zai, who once had a passionate friendship with Higan Mari but is now feared and called the "god of death," is played by Yuichi Nakamura, who played Satoru Gojo in "Jujutsu Kaisen" and Karamatsu Matsuno in "Osomatsu-san. About Zai, Nakamura said, "I tried various challenges when I read the script and tried to record the scene." He also reflected on the postrecording process.
The other cast members include Atsushi Axe as Mike Morris, an FBI agent who is investigating a mysterious murder by shinobi and who helps Higan; Yuki Wakai as Emma Samanda, a rookie FBI agent who works under Mike and helps Higan along with Mike; and Hino Yuichi as Mari, his wife who left the organization with Higan and became a shinobi after she was pregnant with Higan's child. Shinya Kimura as Ren, the loving son of Higan and Mari, and Ryumaru Tachibana as Joseph, the president of AUZA, a global IT company that the Shinobi organization has teamed up with, and who wants to take over the world. Takashi Nagasoma plays Jason, a researcher at AUZA who is fired after seeing the company's fraud and cooperates with Mike through hacking. The members of the Shinobi organization are: Setsuji Sato as Lil, who is obsessed with fighting the strong; Hiromi Park as Jiri, who is now Joseph's valet; Kosuke Sakaki as Big D, who always believes in being beautiful; and the ruthless Yamaji as the leader of the Shinobi and the global IT company AZUSA, who is trying to fulfill his cause while expanding the organization. The ruthless Yamaji is played by Kazuhiro Yamaji. The splendid cast weaves a dramatic tale of past and present, trust and despair.

The film is directed by Park Seong-hu, director of "Jujutsu Kaisen (1st season)," "THE GOD OF HIGH SCHOOL" and "GARO -VANISHING LINE-. The film's splendid staff includes Noshi Okazaki of "Ninja Batman" fame as the character designer and Shigeru Murakoshi of "Zombieland Saga" fame as the series' composer. The breathtaking battle scenes in which Higan, transformed into a vengeful demon, takes on challenges are as powerful as in a Hollywood movie, yet infinitely beautiful and dynamic.
The film's spectacular backdrop art, which combines the elaborate buildings of the near-future city where the film takes place with the grandeur of nature, is also superb, and the world-class staff has come together to create a spectacular animated film that blends stillness and movement. The film begins airing and distributing in North America in February 2024. In May 2024, a side-scrolling action game "NINJA KAMUI: SHINOBI ZERO GOU" (Nintendo Switch version) will be released prior to the anime, which is set about a year before the story depicted in the anime "NINJA KAMUI" and reveals the prequel story of how the high-tech ninja battle suit was born. The scene of a hooded Higan-like figure with a Japanese sword in his hand knocking down one enemy after another, and the voice of an enraged Higan shouting the name of Yamaji, the leader of the organization to which he once belonged, all add to the PV's heightened anticipation before the broadcast.

The original story, presented in world-class quality, is a masterpiece of a new dark hero, in which a group of escaped ninja, deprived of their family, confront the darkness of the organization and the nation.

＜Story
In the near future, in the suburbs of a large city. A man lives a modest life with his beloved family. One night, the family is attacked by ninjas dressed in black, who kill his wife and child and seriously injure himself.
The man's name is Joe Logan, a "Higan," a loose ninja who has changed his face and name but is still being hunted by a ninja organization.
Miraculously, Higan survives, but he asks himself: Why were his wife and son killed? Why were his wife and son killed and he survived? With anger in his heart, he decides to take revenge against the organization, and together with Mike, the FBI agent in charge of the case, and his partner Emma, he confronts the enormous darkness behind the case.
His old organization, the Ninja Organization, plans to get rid of him using "Gusoku Gear," a high-tech combat suit that makes full use of the latest technology. However, Higan does not yet know. He doesn't know about the organization's further plotting, or that one of their enemies is a former comrade.

Who is the mastermind behind all this? Now, the curtain rises on a great revenge drama.
