CLAMP's Legendary Otherworldly Adventure Tale "Magic Knight Rayearth" to be Newly Animated! [Video.

In 2024, the 30th anniversary of the broadcast of the TV anime "Magic Knight Rayearth" (Magic Knight Rayearth), a "new anime adaptation project" will begin.

Since its debut, the creative group CLAMP has continued to produce hit works in a wide range of genres, including boys', girls', and boys' manga, and its works have been constantly developed into animation, dramas, movies, and other media, boasting enormous popularity in Japan and abroad. In 2024, the 30th anniversary of the broadcast of the TV anime "Magic Knight Rayearth," it was announced that a "new anime adaptation project" would be launched. In conjunction with this announcement, the "visual of the new anime adaptation" was unveiled for the first time.

It depicts three girls, Hikaru Shido, Umi Ryuzaki, and Fuu Hououji, who were summoned as magical knights, wishing to visit the fantastic other world of "Cefiro. The video features the 30th anniversary logo and opens with a beautiful color illustration of the original manga by CLAMP, and includes footage of the "Magic Knight Rayearth" anime broadcast 30 years ago, which is a must-see for fans who can enjoy the charming expressions of the characters and the story's trajectory.

A large-scale exhibition, "CLAMP Exhibition," will be held from July 3, 2024 (Wed.), tracing the history of the creative group CLAMP's activities. At the exhibition, "Magic Knight Rayearth" new anime adaptation decision PV and posters with new anime adaptation decision visuals will be displayed.

CLAMP presents a legendary adventure tale from another world. It was serialized in the girls' manga magazine "Nakayoshi" (Kodansha) from 1993 to 1995, and was made into a hit TV anime from 1994 to 1995. Naomi Tamura's theme song, "Yuzurenai wisagashi (Undivided Wish)," sold more than 1 million copies. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the TV anime broadcast.
