CAST

Miyuki Sawashiro (Playing the role of Oscar Francois de Jarge)
My name is Miyuki Sawashiro and I will be playing the voice of Oskar in the theatrical animation "The Rose of Versailles".
The bible is the Oscar drawn by Ms. Riyoko Ikeda, and from there, Oscar with the voice of Reiko Tajima and Oscar sublimated in each live-action movie and on the stage have been born. Into this history, another new Oskar is about to be born under the direction of Yoshimura. (The extraordinary amount of work done by the animators!!!) ) We are now just nervously and quietly waiting for the day of its completion.

■Oscar François de Jarge
The youngest daughter of a noble family and a shogun, she was raised as the heir apparent's "son" and is a beautiful woman dressed in men's clothes.
At a young age, she was assigned to guard Marie-Antoinette as a captain of the French regiment of the Kingsguard. She is a childhood friend of Andre, her nanny's grandson.

Aya Hirano (Marie Antoinette)
It's like a dream.
I never thought I would be able to play the role of Marie Antoinette in this historical masterpiece that I have always dreamed of.
I never thought that this day would come to me as a fan of the manga, anime, and stage productions.
I think this production is quite a challenge.
I could feel that each member of the production team had their own passion and respect for the work.
I hope that this production will revolutionize the image of Belle Rose that everyone has, and that it will be the beginning of a new era.

■Marie Antoinette
Daughter of the Austrian Empress Maria Theresa, Marie Antoinette came to France at the age of 14 to become the wife of Louis XVI. She is beautiful, proud, and naturally attractive, but she leads an unrestrained and extravagant life to escape the confines of the French court and the pressures of her surroundings.

Toshiyuki Toyonaga (Andre Grandier)
I never imagined that I would be cast in the historical and legendary "The Rose of Versailles.
I never thought that I would be cast in the historical and legendary work "The Rose of Versailles" and that I would be able to play the role of Andre.
And I am also singing.
I have played such and such scenes from the original work....
The modern visuals depict the aesthetic, intelligent, and fragile Belle rose.
I am truly happy to be involved in a work that will always be loved.
Please look forward to it!

■André Grandier
A servant of the Jarge family, he is Oscar's follower and childhood friend. After his mother died, he was raised by his grandmother Maron, his only living relative. Although he is a commoner, Oskar has demanded an equal relationship with him as a friend since he was a child, and is often chided by his grandmother.

Kazuki Kato (Hans Axel von Felsen)
Fifty years have passed since the birth of "The Rose of Versailles," and I am beyond honored to be asked to play the role of Felsen.
As someone who had immersed myself in the French Revolution in a musical production, I was deeply moved when I heard about this opportunity. I believe that this is a work that will bring about a new revolution in the age of 2025, not only with the famous scenes from the original work, but also with a new singing direction and modern visual technology. Please look forward to it!

Hans Axel von Fersen
A Swedish count. He is a handsome, thoughtful, and intelligent young man who looks up to Oskar as his best friend.
At a masked ball at the Paris Opera, he has a fateful encounter with Antoinette, who is lonely in a foreign court.

STAFF

Ai Yoshimura (Director)
I have had the pleasure of participating in the theatrical animation "The Rose of Versailles," with its splendid and profound worldview, Oskar, Antoinette, and fascinating characters....
As a fan of "The Rose of Versailles," I am very happy to be able to work while being immersed in the wonderful Rose of Versailles every day. Thank you very much.
The entire staff is working hard to make this wonderful work into a successful film.

Tomoko Kaneharu (Screenplay)
As I used to read the original story in serial form, Lady Oscar is my eternal admirer, and "The Rose of Versailles" is my bible which makes my heart flutter no matter how many times I read it.
So when I received the offer to write the script, I was really happy like a dream, not exaggerating!
Now I just can't wait for the completion of the movie and its release.

■Mariko Oka (character designer)
To be honest, I still can't believe that the day will come when I will be involved in that legendary work "The Rose of Versailles".
I am working every day in a state of tension and joy.
Anyway, everything is fun to draw.
I will continue to do my best together with the director and staff, who are very particular about delivering the beauty and power of the work.

■Hiroyuki Sawano (Music Producer, Music)
I will be producing the music for the animated feature "The Rose of Versailles".
It has been four years since I started to produce music for the film, but this is the first time for me to produce many vocal songs for an animated film, which is different from the songs I have produced for other animated films.
We also asked KOHTA YAMAMOTO to participate in the accompaniment, and we feel that he was able to expand the story of the work more emotionally with his sound. We hope you will enjoy it at the theater.

KOHTA YAMAMOTO (Music)
I am pleased to be working with Hiroyuki Sawano on the music for this film.
I am excited to be involved in this great work!
I had the pleasure of rearranging many of Mr. Sawano's songs for this project, and they were all wonderful and very fun to work on.
The songs have been transformed and are scattered in various scenes.
Please pay attention to the music and enjoy this new "Rose of Versailles!
