＜Synopsis.
Will Serforto, a 6th year student at Ligarden Academy of Magic, is a "Lerner" who can't even use elementary magic.
He is unable to use even rudimentary magic and is looked down upon by everyone as a failure at the academy.
In order to keep his promise to his childhood friend Elfaria, he is aiming for the title of "Magia Vendetta," the most powerful mage in the world, but the road is far from over.
One day, while earning credits by killing monsters in a dungeon as usual, Will encounters his classmate Zion and his friends, who despise him, being attacked by a powerful enemy who should not normally be on the lower floors...

The original light novel series has sold more than 17 million copies, and as of 2023, the TV anime is scheduled to be produced up to its fifth season. The "Wistoria of the Staff and the Sword" is a "sword and sorcery" school fantasy comic that dynamically depicts the world view with beautiful illustrations by up-and-coming manga artist, Sei Aoi. Currently serialized in "Bessatsu Shonen Magazine," the much-anticipated TV anime adaptation has been decided.

Will, a boy, enrolls in a magic academy to become a full-fledged mage. He is a hard worker, but he has a fatal weakness as a mage. He cannot use magic at all. He is cold-shouldered by his classmates and teachers, and sometimes feels discouraged, but he presses on with a strong spirit. Even though he cannot use a wand, he still wields a sword and fights his way through in a world where magic reigns supreme. He believes in the power given only to him. And to keep his promise to his loved ones...

Directed by Tatsuya Hara (Action Director of "Chainsaw Man"). The sword-and-sorcery battles that are the cornerstone of the original work are depicted in a high-quality action style. Character design and chief animation director is Saka Ono ("Cross Ange: Tenshi to Ryu no Ranbu"). Music is by Yuki Hayashi ("Haikyuu‼", "My Hero Academia"). Production is jointly handled by Actus and Namco Bandai Pictures. The sharpest staff members have been assembled for this work.
