Magnetic type for easy installation and machining! God Hand "Quick Power Pin Vice" & "Quick Drill Bit" Review [Tool Do #26

Hello, this is Karyas! I noticed that it is already the rainy season: ....... I'm sure you'll be able to find a good time to visit my site!

Now, I would like to introduce to you the "Quick Power Pin Vice" and "Quick Drill Bit" from God Hand. They are convenient tools perfect for drilling work!

The magnetic type makes it easy to change!

When working with a pin vice, you have to rotate the attachment part by hand every time you change drills, which is a hassle. But if you use the Quick Power Pin Vice in combination with the Quick Drill Bit, you can attach and detach it in an instant!

First, let's start with the pin vice.

Quick Power Pin Vice

Manufacturer's suggested retail price: 3,278 yen (tax included)

Overall length: approx. 80 mm

Weight: 38 grams (main body only)

Applicable shaft diameter: 4mm hexagonal shaft

The greatest feature is that the drill can be attached with a magnet type!

Light and strong, the body is made of brass. The grip part is made of TPE (resilient resin).

When the drill is attached. A hexagonal shaft with a diameter of 4 mm can be mounted even if it is made by another manufacturer.

The rotary washer (butt portion) is slim and fits in the palm of the hand for a great sense of stability. Stress during work is reduced!

The washer has a concave surface, which is perfect for working lightly with your fingers!

A wide variety of special drills are available!

Next, we introduce quick drill bits. There are four types in total, all with a 4mm hexagonal shaft and a magnet detachable type!

Note that the materials that can be cut are plastic, resin, aluminum, and brass!

Type A is a set of five drill bits with diameters of 0.5 mm, 0.6 mm, 0.7 mm, 0.8 mm, and 0.9 mm.

The manufacturer's suggested retail price is 1,925 yen (tax included).

Type B is a set of five drill bits with drill diameters of 1.0 mm, 1.5 mm, 2.0 mm, 2.5 mm, and 3.0 mm.

Manufacturer's suggested retail price is 1,705 yen (tax included).

Type C is a set of eight drill bits with drill diameters of 1.1 mm, 1.2 mm, 1.3 mm, 1.4 mm, 1.6 mm, 1.7 mm, 1.8 mm, and 1.9 mm.

Manufacturer's suggested retail price is 2,255 yen (tax included).

Type D is a set of 8 drill bits with drill diameters of 2.1 mm, 2.2 mm, 2.3 mm, 2.4 mm, 2.6 mm, 2.7 mm, 2.8 mm, and 2.9 mm.

Manufacturer's suggested retail price is 2,255 yen (tax included).

The dimensions are firmly stamped on the shaft, so the drill diameter can be immediately determined!

Compared to drills made by other companies (above), the overall length is shorter (below), making it easier to perform detailed work!

As you can see, various innovations have been made to allow you to work comfortably! Also, the tip of the drill blade is more obtuse than those made by other companies, which has the advantage that it is less likely to shake and distort the hole. This makes first-time drillers feel at ease!

Practical use: Let's try embedding a bolt!

Now that you have grasped the features of the product, let's try to actually use it. First, let's try it out on a 1 mm plastic plate.

It was very comfortable to use, and we were able to open the hole easily!

Now, let's drill a hole in the kit, this time we will use ......

HG Guf (some parts omitted). I would like to modify the left arm a little!

Here are the bolt parts to be used for the modification.

O-Bolt 1" is now on sale from Wave. This is a great item that can be glued directly to Gundam plastic models and mecha kits, or filled into the recesses to reproduce realistic bolts.

There are 5 types of heads. Three sizes (1.5, 2.0, and 3.0 mm) are included in the set.

The official price is 330 yen (tax included). (The "O-Bolt 2," a set of bolts of different shapes, is also available for the same price)

I would like to put these into practice!

First, let's fill in the 1.5 mm bolts. Since we want to embed it with plenty of room, use a 1.6mm drill with drill bit B to open up the back part of the fist.

Fill the cleanly cut out bolt into the hole a little with precision tweezers and pour in the pouring adhesive.

Before it completely cures, adjust the position with tweezers, and the modification is complete. Be careful not to push it too far inside while working. Yeah, it looks good!

Next, use a 2.0 mm bolt. Now we want to open it up with 2.1 mm and embed it in the arm section.

This time, I didn't embed the bolt completely, but left a little exposed on the surface. This is your choice!

The modification was successfully completed. This time I only used the left arm, but it will look even cooler if you embed bolts all over the body!

So, how was it? Pin vices and drills are indispensable when modifying parts. If you get tired of assembling straight, I recommend you take the plunge and buy one!

Well, we will see you again~♪
