PS4's OVERKILL's The Walking Dead announces indefinite delay of release!
Spike Chunsoft announced that the release of "OVERKILL's The Walking Dead" for PS4 in Japan and Asia, which was scheduled for Thursday, February 7, will be postponed indefinitely.
OVERKILL's The Walking Dead" is a cooperative action shooter for up to four players set in the world of "The Walking Dead. Players and their friends will battle the dead, and sometimes other survivors, to secure their base of operations and survive the apocalypse in Washington, D.C. The game will be available for purchase on the Spike Chunsoft website.
Spike Chunsoft commented, "We have received the following statement regarding this title as a result of continued discussions with the publisher, 505 Games, in regards to the reported bankruptcy of Starbreeze, which owns the developer OVERKILL Software.
We are continuing to work with Starbreeze to release "OVERKILL's The Walking Dead" in sufficient quality, however, it has become difficult to release said title on February 5, 2019*. We will announce a new release date as soon as we are able to guarantee sufficient quality in light of the development status. We apologize for the delay.
