TV anime "The girl I fell in love with in Okinawa speaks too much dialect" to air in January 2025! OP theme song artist is HY!

It has been decided that "The girl I fell in love with in Okinawa speaks too much dialect" (published by Shinchosha Bunch Comics), which will be adapted into a TV anime, will be broadcast on TV from January 2025. In addition, HY has been chosen as the artist in charge of the OP theme song. An advance clip of the film has been released, and additional cast members have also been announced .

Shinchosha's "The girl I fell in love with in Okinawa speaks too much dialect" is a popular romantic comedy serialized in "Kurage Bunch" that has sold over 300,000 copies in total.

The story centers on the main character, Teruaki Nakamura, who has transferred to Okinawa, Fuka Kyanabu, who speaks Okinawan dialect "Uchinaaguchi," and Natsuna Higa, who interprets Uchinaaguchi and helps Teruaki out.

It has been decided that the TV anime "The girl I fell in love with in Okinawa has too many dialects, so it's too much fun" (published by Shinchosha Bunch Comics) will begin broadcasting in January 2025 on TOKYO MX, BS11, Okinawa TV, Ryukyu Broadcasting Corporation, Ryukyu Asahi Broadcasting Corporation, and other networks.
Along with the release of information, original visuals of the three main characters, Hinatsu Kyanabu (played by Akari Kito), Natsuna Higa (played by Ai Fayruz), and Ui Neema, a local VTuber who is a PR ambassador, have also been released.

In addition, the popular four-piece band "HY" has been chosen as the artist in charge of the opening theme song. They are Uchinaa from Uruma City, Okinawa Prefecture, and will enliven the work.

I am HY, and I will be singing the theme song for Okitsura.
Since it is a coming-of-age love comedy anime, I decided from the beginning to write a song that would be full of energy and playfulness.
The scenery in Okitsura was familiar to me, so I asked the author, Sora Egumi, about it, and he told me that he had actually drawn the actual place in the manga.
It was a strange experience, as I felt as if I had entered the world of the manga.
I was able to create an anime song that is rocking, cute, and somewhat sad, with a lively sanshin melody, and is a true coming-of-age ani-song.
I hope many people will listen to and enjoy this song.
