Armored Trooper Votoms" is a TV animation that aired in 1983. Japanese robot animation has created a huge genre with numerous productions after "Tetsujin 28," "Mazinger Z," and "Mobile Suit Gundam. Among them, "Armored Trooper Votoms" has gained a strong following as the pinnacle of realistic robot animation that demonstrates a sense of reality in a fictional world.

Directed by Ryosuke Takahashi. The animation was produced by Sunrise (now Namco Bandai Filmworks), a leading robot animation production company. Even after the TV anime ended, sequels and derivative works such as OVAs, movies, novels, and games continued to be produced, and the series continues to boast strong popularity. Last year marked the 40th anniversary of the series' airing, and the popularity of the series has grown even more.

Character designer Norio Shioyama portrays the taciturn protagonist "Chirico Cubby. Against the backdrop of the Astragian Galaxy devastated by the Hundred Years War, the story takes place in futuristic cities, jungles, space, wilderness, and deserts, as Chirico crosses over with his girlfriend Fiana and his friends to unravel the mysteries surrounding the main character. In the process, Chirico confronts the great conspiracy behind the story. ......

The robot "Armored Trooper (AT) Scopedog," designed by Kunio Okawara, the mechanical designer of VOTOMS, makes a particularly strong impression in this story.

Scopedog's appeal is enhanced by its novel and unprecedented setting, in which it is a mass-produced, expendable, common robot weapon that can be discarded and replaced, rather than a specialized machine specially made for the main character, as is often the case in robot animation. In particular, the Scopedog's strong presence and presentation as a weapon overturned the concept of the main character in robot animation and caused a stir in robot animation, and continues to attract many fans to this day.

This model was designed and developed down to the smallest details of the Scopedog, aiming to create the ultimate realistic robot model, and was born here as a giant model of the highest quality.

The maintenance base was designed by mechanical designer Kunio Okawara!

One of the most distinctive features of this model is the original maintenance base (dedicated pedestal) designed especially for this project. This maintenance base was designed based on the concept of reproducing the size of the cockpit and operating the control levers to demonstrate the mobility of the aircraft. It allows the user to operate the descent and landing posture and turret lens rotation, which are also impressive scenes in the film.

Kunio Okawara, the mechanical designer of "Armored Trooper Votoms," is in charge of the design. Astray's, a company known as "anything goes" in the toy industry, was chosen to develop the model, and their many years of experience have resulted in a model designed with attention to detail and attention to detail.
