TV anime "Negapo Angler" will be broadcast and distributed in October 2024! Teaser PV & main cast & main staff, etc. all revealed!

The original TV animation "Negapo Angler" by NUT, winner of the Best Music Award and the Best Animated Film Award at the 47th Japan Academy Awards, will be broadcast and distributed from October 2024.

As the title "Angler" suggests, one of the themes of this work is "fishing." It depicts the human story of a young man who has led a passive life with little connection with others, but changes through encounters with various people and through fishing.

A teaser PV was released in conjunction with this announcement.

Main Staff & Main Cast Information!

Information on the main staff and main cast of the film has also been released.
The director is Yasushi Uemura of "Jujo Senki" fame, series composition and script by Tomohiro Suzuki of "Sougou no Freelen" fame, character design and chief animation director Hiromi Taniguchi of "Jellyfish Restaurant" fame, and animation production by NUT of "BLUE GIANT" fame, among other splendid staff members.

The voice cast includes Mutsuki Iwanaka as the main character Tsunehiro Sasaki, a dark college student; Ai Fayruz as Hana Ayukawa, a genius high school student angler; and Kaito Ishikawa as Takaaki Tsutsujimori, a caretaker who takes care of Tsunehiro. I will be playing the role of the main character, Tsunehiro (Hiro) Sasaki.

He is a university student who has been told by a doctor that he has only 2 years to live, is being chased by debt collectors, and has no luck at all.

He is a dark, lethargic, stubborn, and a novice fisherman. I felt empathy for him, and from the time of the audition, I tried to relax as much as possible in my performance.
