The first feature-length animation project by top creator Phenomenon Yasuda, who boasts a total of over 6 million followers on SNS, has finally begun!
Yasuda Phenomenon has been highly acclaimed both in Japan and abroad for his individually produced 3D short animations and music videos. Based on his own short animation "Make Love," a crowdfunding campaign to produce a feature-length animation film by an elite staff led by Director Yasuda Phenomenon at the Yasuda Phenomenon Studio by Xenotoon achieved a far higher percentage than its goal. The theatrical animation "Make-A-Girl," which has proven to be overwhelmingly popular and high-profile, will finally be unveiled.

The latest information about the theatrical anime "Make-A-Girl," including the release date, has now been announced all at once.

The long-awaited theatrical release date has been set for January 31, 2025 (Friday).
The additional cast for this film includes Kana Hanazawa as Eri Uminaka, a doctoral student at the university where Akira's father, Shoichi Takamine, is a professor, and Yoshi Ueda as Shoichi Takamine, played by Yoshi Ueda as Eisen in "Sougou no Freiren, Comments from the three new cast members and visuals of the characters they will play have also arrived.

I originally saw Yasuda Phenomenon's work on SNS and was curious about what kind of work it would be since the audition, so I was very happy to have the opportunity to be a part of it.
Eri, who I will be voicing, is a robot researcher and a very caring person who is like an older sister to Akira.
She will be involved in the story, so please look forward to seeing her in action!

Yoshi Ueda (as Shoichi Takamine)

This is the first feature film directed by up-and-coming animation artist Phenomenon Yasuda.
Recently, I have had many opportunities to participate in films by new creators who are taking on big challenges, and I was very happy to be able to be a part of the scene.
I was inspired by the cast and tried to express the complexity of human beings. I hope you will feel more familiar and deeply connected with the work. I hope you enjoy it.

Minami Hyuga (as Akira Mizutame in his childhood)

My name is Minami Hyuga, and I play the role of Akira Mizutame in his childhood.
I was very happy when I was chosen for the role because I had wanted to be involved somehow ever since I was told about the audition. Since I was chosen, I felt a lot of pressure to express to the best of my ability what Akira was dealing with in her childhood.
During the postrecording, I played the role together with the other cast members.
I was happy to be able to experience firsthand how the emotions of the characters became even clearer when they were voiced.
And from the postrecording stage, the images were truly amazing.
I hope you will enjoy the movie using all of your senses in the theater.

She is 25 years old. She is a doctoral student at the university where Shoichi is a professor.
She lives in a different room in the same apartment as Akira and is a kind of older sister who often shows up at the lab.
She keeps Shoichi informed of Akira's condition.

Shoichi Takamine

He is 48 years old. Akira's father-in-law, a researcher of artificial intelligence. He and Inaba, Akira's mother, were classmates at university.
He was attracted by Akira's talent when he met her as a child and took her in from an orphanage after Inaba's death.
