Comic Market is often thought of as a place for doujinshi and cosplayers to showcase their work, but it is also a place for subcultural expression, with a variety of circles and companies participating.
In this issue, Akiba Research Institute will report on the various manufacturers we met on the corporate floor.

In this article, we report on the various corporate booths full of individuality! In this issue, we will introduce local characters and local idols from all over Japan. Some of the characters were run by local governments, and the variety of uses for 2D characters was impressive.

Meg Mizumochi

Meg Mizumochi, the PR character of Nagano Prefectural Planning Bureau, participated in Comiket!

She was handing out fliers and handbills to promote Nagano Prefecture.

Seika Kyomachi

Kyomachi Seika, the PR character of Seika Town, Kyoto Prefecture, also made an appearance at Comiket!

She sold many original goods.

Chita Musume.

Chita Musume, a moe promotion character for the Chita Peninsula in Aichi Prefecture. The cast of "Chita Musume. The cast members of the character participated in Comiket again this year!

They were presented with "Toilet Monaka," a collaboration between Lixil, a housing equipment manufacturer, and Daizo Mochi, a Japanese confectionery company that makes use of many ingredients from the Chita Peninsula.

All the voice actors of Chita Musume. The "Toilet Monaka" was given to all voice actors of Chita Musume and followers of the official X-account. The skin is in the shape of a western-style toilet bowl. It may not look like much, but the taste was definitely excellent!
