Plastic Model Review] The 4th Eldoran Robo Miraculously Becomes a Plastic Kit! Voice actor Tai Yuuki takes on the challenge of "Complete Victory Daitei O" appearing in MODEROID!

When you are a working adult, you tend to have a lot of plastic models piled up in your busy life. ...... In this series, Yasuyuki Tai, a voice actor who loves robots and plastic models, takes on the challenge of building plastic models on your behalf!

The concept is "Even busy working people can make it this far on weekends and vacations! The only two rules of this article are that the model must be finished as an unassembled model and that you can spend only one or two days to build it! Read this series, and you will surely find the plastic model you want to build.

Taiyuki's Weekend Plastic Model Series No. 100 "MODEROID Daiteio

I never thought I would see the day when this robot would be made into a three-dimensional model and released as a plastic model! This time we introduce the plastic kit of "Perfect Victory Daiteio," which was developed in pilot films and model magazines as part of the 10th anniversary of the end of Sunrise's popular robot anime "Eldoran Series.

The company that commercialized this product is MODEROID, a plastic model brand of Good Smile Company.

It is as expected!

Some of you may not have known of its existence since it has not been made into a TV anime, but if you see the kit, you will understand that it is the legitimate successor of the Eldoran series.

Now, please enjoy it!

The package depicts the combined Daiteioh and each mecha before the combination.

We will start with the separated form.

You can see the size of the three mecha. There is a bird-shaped mecha, a dog-shaped mecha, and a monkey-shaped mecha. The motif of "Daiteio" is actually based on "Momotaro".

Teio

This is "Teio," a monkey-type mecha. Unlike Raijin-O, Teio is an ape-shaped mecha, and the length of its arms and legs is slightly different from that of a human.

The Teio sword can be mounted on its back.

The face is not designed to be extremely ape-like.

Large clear parts are used for the legs. The ankles are large and shaped in a way that reminds us that it is a "monkey-type mecha.

The range of motion is quite excellent for a small mecha.

The fist can reach the Teio sword on its back.

The Simple Stand (sold separately) can be connected to the shaft hole where the Teio Sword was mounted, allowing you to recreate the jump action.

It can also be straddled somewhat by Rikuo, whom we will introduce next, but it will not be fixed in place. It is an atmosphere.

Lik-O

Next, let's take a look at Lik-O. This is the beast king position in the "Raijin-O" series. It is mainly responsible for the area below the knees of Daiteio.

The base of the back legs are ball-jointed, and the ankles are connected to an axis that allows for roll-rotation, so posing is rather flexible.

She can also turn her head upward and open her mouth.

The simple stand" can be connected to the abdomen. You can also recreate the action of jumping on an enemy.

Kuwuoh

Next is Kuwuoh. It is a pheasant type mecha. Its wings and tail feathers are very large. The simple stand can be connected to the abdomen, so it can be displayed in a flying state.

In the "Raijin-O" series, this mecha is in a similar position to Ho-oh.

The legs, neck, and beak are movable. The wings are also movable.

The three can be combined in a victory combination!

Dynamic victory combination gimmick!

First, Teio is disassembled to this point. Only the chest and legs are used.

Liqu-O is also disassembled like this. Legs and other parts will be surplus parts.

Transform the body part of Lik-O as shown on the right side of the image, and it will become the legs of Daitheio.

Although Kuwuoh is also disassembled, almost all parts except for the abdomen are used for combining.

Kuwuoh with only the main block. Transform it from here.

Fold the neck and legs compactly, and raise the face part of the die Teio.

Transform the chest part of Teio, and connect the thigh parts and side armor of Die Teio.

Then, the deformed leg parts of Lik-O are joined to it. This completes the lower body.

The shoulder armor, arms, chest ornament, and lower body are combined with the chest parts for merging.

Now, the remaining part is Koo-oh!

While attaching the met parts to the face of Daitheio, ......

Combined on the back.

Transform the head of Likuo and attach the sword parts to make it into a Daitei Sword.

The shield composed of Kuoh's tail parts is also completed by reassembling the base like this.

The Daitei Sword is powerful even as it is. ......

The sword can also be reassembled into a more form-focused sword. This is your choice.

Check out Daitei O thoroughly!

So, the "Daitei O" has been assembled into "Daitei O for complete victory". This is the "Eldoran Robo" atmosphere. The chest ornament is very large and impressive.

The wings are also very large and powerful.

The rounded shape of the head ornament is a shape not seen on previous Eldoran Robots. This is another unique feature of Daiteio.

Daiteio is a robot with many crystal-like parts. Most of the clear parts are molded in clear green, but the chest parts are painted silver from the back.

The design of the instep has a slight Japanese flavor. The ankles are similar to those of MODEROID Raijin-O, with a ball joint connection and a pull-out type.

The shin part of the Teio is now attached to the elbow of the Daitheio.

The base of the wing is multi-jointed, so it can be moved quite freely.

The blocks on the sides of the legs are exactly what you would expect from an Eldoran robot.

The hip joints slide up and down in a way that avoids design constraints on movement. If you work hard, you can make it look like it is standing on its knees, as shown here.

The figure is holding a Daitei Sword and a Daitei Shield, both of which are form-focused. At first glance, it looks like a sword with a parsed blade, but this sword seems to be originally designed like this.

Daitei O's wrists also come with flat hands.

The shoulder joints swing upward, allowing the figure to be double-handed at the large upper level.

There is a joint hole behind the waist, so "The Simple Stand" can be connected.

Easy processing with a little extra effort

Now, the "plus one touch" this time is really easy. Just as the clear green chest parts were painted silver from the back, I painted the other clear parts silver from the back to give them a unified look.

This gave a sense of unity to the clear parts of the entire body.

Not only clear parts, but also once this kit is assembled, it is quite difficult to remove them, so it is important to make a decision at an early stage if you want to paint the backside of the clear parts with silver.

How do you like it? I think that the clear green parts now have a sense of unity.

If you have room, you might try painting the yellow parts in gold.

So, that was the "Complete Victory Daitei O.". Now we have a lineup of MODEROID models, including Raijin-O, Ganbargar, and Daiteio, and I would like to put Gozaurer in the same MODEROID lineup.

There is also a possibility that more mecha will be added to the Daiteioh lineup that will combine with it. How far will MODEROID go?

This series always never disappoints, and I dream of one day being able to line up the main character mecha from the four Eldoran works. Good Smile, Mecha Smile. I look forward to working with you!

Well, as a matter of fact, the "Akiba Research Institute," where this article was serialized, is now ending its service. We were able to reach the 100th issue in the end by rushing, but it is very sad....
I am very much looking forward to continuing this series of articles, as there are still a lot of attractive plastic models to be seen in the future. I am realistically hoping that I will be able to work on these articles again at some point....
For those of you who have read our articles so far, what did you think of the contents of each article?
If you would like to share your thoughts with us, we would be happy to hear about articles that have left a lasting impression on you. We look forward to your comments.

So, we will definitely see you again somewhere~! (Translated by
