Event reports from the "Liz and the Blue Bird" Blu-ray & DVD screening and talk event commemorating the blockbuster success of the animated feature film "Liz and the Blue Bird" have arrived!

A screening and talk event for the theatrical anime "Liz and the Blue Bird," produced by Kyoto Animation and released on December 5, 2018, was held at Shinjuku Piccadilly on Saturday, January 19, 2019.

Liz and the Blue Bird" is based on Ayano Takeda's novel "Hibike! Euphonium Kita-Uji High School Brass Band Club, Disturbing Second Movement," which depicts the adolescence of high school students. Kyoto Animation, which won the "40th Japan Academy Prize for Best Animation" and the "Tokyo Anime Awards Festival 2017 Animation of the Year Film Grand Prix in the Theatrical Film Division" for the film "Unamplified", depicts a fleeting and beautiful moment between two girls, Mizore and Nozomi.

The Blu-ray & DVD of the theatrical animation "Liz and the Blue Bird" produced by Kyoto Animation, which was released on Saturday, April 21, 2018 and received favorable reviews, was released on December 5 last year. A screening and talk event was held at Shinjuku Piccadilly on January 19 (Sat) to celebrate the success of the Blu-ray & DVD release. Here is the official report.

The Blu-ray and DVD of "Liz and the Blue Bird," a theatrical animation produced by Kyoto Animation, was released on December 5, 2008, and has been well received since its nationwide roadshow that started on April 21, 2008. A screening and talk event was held at Shinjuku Piccadilly on January 19 (Sat.) to commemorate the huge success of the Blu-ray & DVD.

The speakers at the event were Atsumi Tanezaki, who plays Mizore Arumozuka, and Nao Higashiyama, who plays Nozomi Kasaragi.
At the event, the two actors turned the pages of the script they actually used in the postrecording of "Liz and the Blue Bird" and spoke in detail about their thoughts on each scene and line.

They also revealed the existence of a "hidden button" in the Blu-ray & DVD released last December, and the event ended on a high note.

The "Hibike! Euphonium" series will start a new movie "Hibike! Euphonium ~Oath Finale~ is scheduled to be released in theaters from April 19 this year. We hope that you will continue to pay attention to the "Hibike! Euphonium" series will be released on April 19 this year.

--A blue bird comes to a girl who has been all alone.

Mizore Arumozuka, a senior in high school, in charge of oboe.
Kimi KASAKI, a senior in high school, in charge of flute.

Mizore is happy to spend every day with Nozomi, and Nozomi, who left the club once but came back again.
They have been together since junior high school, when Nozomi approached Mizore, who had been all by herself,
For Mizore, Nozomi has been the world itself.
