To commemorate the 40th anniversary of "Mobile Suit Gundam," Gundam plastic models in collaboration with 12 professional baseball teams, UNIQLO, and industrial designer Kiyoyuki Okuyama will be released!

As part of the "Mobile Suit Gundam 40th Anniversary Project" commemorating the 40th anniversary of "Mobile Suit Gundam" this year, various collaborative Gundam models will be released, including 12 types of Gundam models designed for 12 professional baseball teams and a Gundam model kit in collaboration with UNIQLO. The "Mobile Suit Gundam" series is a Japanese animation series that was first released in 1964.

Mobile Suit Gundam" is a robot animation series produced by Sunrise Japan and broadcast from 1979.

As part of the "Mobile Suit Gundam 40th Anniversary Project" to commemorate the 40th anniversary of "Mobile Suit Gundam" this year, KEN OKUYAMA DESIGN, led by industrial designer Kiyoyuki Okuyama, will design the first Gundam, and LDH JAPAN will provide the music for the "Mobile Suit Gundam 40th Anniversary Various collaborative Gundam Gundam models will be released, including Gundam Gundam models appearing in the "KEN OKUYAMA DESIGN Gundam Model Project Special Movie," 12 different Gundam models designed for 12 professional baseball teams, and a Gundam model kit in collaboration with UNIQLO.

Kiyoyuki Okuyama has served as chief designer for General Motors (U.S.), senior designer for Porsche (Germany), design director for Pininfarina (Italy), and dean of industrial design at Art Center College of Design (U.S.). Since 2007, he has been the president of KEN OKUYAMA DESIGN and has been involved in the development and sales of automobiles, interior products, and eyewear under the KEN OKUYAMA brand. Collaboration 1: "Gunpla Project Special Movie

KENOKUYAMA DESIGN will produce the "Mobile Suit Gundam 40th Anniversary KENOKUYAMA DESIGN Gundam Model Kits Project Special Movie" to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Mobile Suit Gundam, and will release a plastic model of the RX-78-2 Gundam that appears in the movie.
The Gundam in the movie is designed by KEN OKUYAMA DESIGN, led by industrial designer Kiyoyuki Okuyama, and the music for the movie is provided by LDHJAPAN Inc.
This project is a special project that approaches what would happen if the world-renowned Ken Okuyama seriously verified and designed the Gundam as a product, from both the video and the Gundam plastic model. In addition, the project is under development with the aim of creating a Gundam model that can reproduce the action expressions linked to the video images (release date and price to be determined).

The "Gunpla Project Special Movie" will be produced with music provided by LDH JAPAN, and Gunpla will be released to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Mobile Suit Gundam through collaborations with 12 professional baseball teams and UNIQLO Co!

Collaboration days will be held at each stadium in conjunction with the 2019 professional baseball season, and a variety of products will be developed.
The specific details will be announced by each team in the future, but BANDAI SPIRITS will produce Gundam plastic models in the 12 teams' colors, which will be released sequentially by each team starting in April.

Collaboration 3: "UNIQLO

Ltd., Bandai Co. and BANDAI SPIRITS will collaborate on a UT project with Gundam model kit special offers.
A total of 12 UTs commemorating the 40th anniversary of Mobile Suit Gundam will be released at UNIQLO stores and online stores in late March 2019.
Inaddition, as a special offer for purchasers, one UNIQLO UT original limited edition Gunpla will be given away with the purchase of two UT items (*1).
The T-shirts will also be available at UNIQLO stores around the world, and in Japan, UNIQLO plans to offer this and other UTme! (*2). Details will be announced on UNIQLO's official website ( # ) in the future.

Collaboration 4: "Halo

The "Halo" has been loved for 40 years as the icon of the Mobile Suit Gundam series.
Last year, "Halo Plastic," a plastic model of Halo, was released as part of the Gunpla series. To commemorate the 40th anniversary of Gundam, a collaboration will be developed between Halo Plastic and the TV animation series "Pochitto Invention Picachinkit" (currently broadcast on TV Tokyo). A story featuring Halo is scheduled to be aired in a future program of Pikachinkit.
