The anime film "As the World Ends Tomorrow," released on January 25, 2019, is an original work by animation studio Crafter Studio, directed and written by Yuhei Sakuraki, who directed his first TV series with the TV anime "Ingress.

To celebrate the film's release, a stage greeting will be held at Shinjuku Piccadilly on January 26, 2019. Yoshiki Nakajima, who plays Hazama Jin, Ayaka Semboki, who plays Izumi Kotoko, and director Yuhei Sakuragi took the stage.

Director Sakuraki, who made his feature-length animation directorial debut with this film, said, "I feel more mentally challenged after the film's release. I am genuinely afraid of your reactions," he said nervously! Mr. Nakajima added, "The film is set in Shinjuku, which is a familiar place to Tokyoites, but there is also a world that is different from Shinjuku, and as various elements are intertwined, I wondered whether the ending (from the opposing viewpoints of Makoto and Jin) would be a happy ending or a bad ending.
