Mermaids born from the same shell are shell sisters! Intrigued by the unique mermaid culture, "Bermuda Triangle" Episode 2: Loose-Fitting Impressions

In the second episode of "Bermuda Triangle - Colorful Pastorale," the spotlight is on an old movie theater that is likely to play an important role in the story.

The head of the village, Mr. Aldi, forbids them to enter the old building that has been abandoned for so long (because it is dangerous), but if he says no, they become more and more curious, which is the nature of youth. Still, it is somewhat curious that only Sonata is particularly strongly attracted to the movie theater.

Another concept that will be highlighted in the second episode is that of the "shell sisters" (shell sisters). All mermaids in this world are born from shells! Shell sisters are born from the same shell, and even if they were born at different times, if the shells are the same, they seem to be sisters. That is the reason why the mermaids in the village of Parel are all young, beautiful women and children.

Considering the fact that Sonata and her family live in a dormitory-like place and the mermaid ecology, it seems that the children in the village are raised in a community. Considering that there is no "husband and wife" or "parent and child" connection, I imagine that the "shell sister" system is a very important bond for the mermaid society. ......Maybe that's a little too rigid a view.

But it is a setting that makes me want to think a lot about it, as the village of Parrel seems to value the connection between the shell sisters more than urban Atlantia.

Among the five daughters, I thought it was funny and cute that the childish Caro, who is usually preoccupied with sweet treats and cakes, shows a strong older sisterly figure to her shell sister, the young Capri.

Sonata and her friends' plan to investigate the movie theater and Kineove in the small village is quickly discovered by Mr. Aldi. Mr. Aldi's stern reprimand in a masculine tone of voice conveys that this is a necessary role for the village. When we see the division of roles, with Ferma immediately noticing something wrong with the children and informing Aldi, and then gently offering a helping hand to the children, we see that this is how the women have protected the village.

It occurred to me that Aldi, who allowed Sonata and the others to be involved in the cinema as managers, may have had the same exciting and thrilling experience at the cinema as a child long ago.
