On Wednesday, January 30, a joint press conference was held for the new program "Star Twinkle Pretty Cure" (Sunday mornings from 8:30 AM) and the movie "Pretty Cure Miracle Universe," which will be released nationwide on Saturday, March 16, 2019.

In the first part of the "Star Twinkle Pretty Cure" press conference, main cast members Eimi Naruse (Denpa Gumi Inc.), Yoshimi Ohara, Kiyono Anno, and Mikako Komatsu gathered together for the first time to talk about their enthusiasm for playing the role of Pretty Cure, a character that children have longed for throughout the year.

When the first part of the press conference started, producer Ten Washio from Toei first took the stage and gave a speech about the film, which had been carefully created for the children.

Producer Tanaka Takashi of ABC Animation then introduced the highlights of the film.
He introduced Hikaru Hoshina, the main character of the film, who has "a great curiosity for the unknown" and "a rich imagination. She expressed her hope that the children will grow through new encounters with the Pretty Cure girls, and that they will grow together as they come to appreciate each other's existence by coming into contact with new values.

At this point, it was also announced that for the first time in the "Pretty Cure" series, the program would be available for free download.

At this point, the cast members took the stage and spoke of their enthusiasm.

First, Ms. Naruse (playing Hikaru Hoshina/Cure Star), who has been supporting the entire series for 15 years since the first "Futari wa Pretty Cure," said that she was very excited just to hear about the audition, and now that she would be playing Hikaru, she was excited that her dream had come true: "I got to be a real Pretty Cure! She was so excited to be able to play Hikaru and "become a real Pretty Cure," she said.

This feeling was shared by all the cast members, including Ms. Yasuno and Ms. Komatsu, who had auditioned several times before but had no luck, and now for the first time (Ms. Yasuno had played the old Pretty Cure Lumiel in "Kira Kira Pretty Cure A La Mode," but this was the first time she appeared as a main character). Each of them spoke in their own words about the joy of being a Pretty Cure.
Ms. Obara, who plays Lara Hagoromo/Cure Milky, expressed her joy as well, and mentioned that the Lara she plays is the first alien in the series. She also mentioned that Lara, who plays Lara, is an alien for the first time in the series, which we hope you will take note of.

The second part of the event was a press conference for the "Pretty Cure Miracle Universe: The Movie," in which "Star Twinkle Pretty Cure," "HUGt! Pretty Cure", "HUGt! Pretty Cure", and "Kira Kira Kira Pretty Cure A La Mode", a total of 15 Pretty Cure members from three gorgeous generations performed the ending dance of the movie for the first time.

It was announced at the press conference that Hiroki Kaji would be joining the cast as a guest voice actor for the movie, and Yuji Tanaka (Bakusho Mondai) would be joining the cast as another guest voice actor for the movie.

Mr. Tanaka appeared with the "Miracle Light," a cheering item that has been given to junior high school students and younger as an admission present to the "Pretty Cure" movie series, connecting children and Pretty Cure. The "Miracle Light" was the same size as that of his partner Hikaru Ota (Bakusho Mondai), and the audience was filled with laughter at the appearance of his "new partner.

Mr. Tanaka has a wealth of experience as a voice actor, including "Monsters, Inc." (2002) and "Doraemon the Movie: Nobita's Space Heroes" (2015). He told the audience that he was jealous of Tanaka's appearance, saying, "It's crazy that they cast you in this show," which made the audience laugh.

Mr. Kaji, on the other hand, introduced Jango as a "professional" character who is "sincere in his work. A reporter also asked about Jango's character in the previous "HUGt! Pretty Cure" featured a boy Pretty Cure, and when asked if he would like to play a Pretty Cure, he suggested that "Jango could become a Pretty Cure," thus arousing expectations for the film.

Star Twinkle Pretty Cure" will begin airing tomorrow, February 3 (Sun.), 2019, at 8:30 a.m., and "Pretty Cure Miracle Universe the Movie," which opens in theaters nationwide on March 16 (Sat.), 2019.
