GRIDMAN SHOW01" Event Report Arrives! A second live event will be held in May!

GRIDMAN's first live event "SSSS. GRIDMAN SHOW01" was held on February 3 (Sun.) at TFT Hall in Odaiba.

GRIDMAN" is a special effects program produced by Tsuburaya Productions and TBS, which aired 39 episodes every Saturday from 17:30 to 18:00 on the TBS network (excluding some affiliate stations) from April 1993 to January 1994. The TV animation "SSSS. GRIDMAN" will be produced by TRIGGER, which produced "DENKO CHOJIN GRIDMAN boys invent great hero" and directed by Tetsu Amemiya, who also directed "DENKO CHOJIN GRIDMAN boys invent great hero".

GRIDMAN's first live event "SSSS.GRIDMAN SHOW01" was held on February 3 (Sun) at TFT Hall in Odaiba. Here is the official report from the event.

GRIDMAN's first live event "SSSS.GRIDMAN SHOW01" was held on February 3 (Sun.) at TFT Hall in Odaiba.


The event started with a VTR showing of famous scenes from the main anime.
The cast members, including Yuya Hirose (Yuta Hibiki), Hikaru Midorikawa (Gridman), Soma Saito (Masaru Utsumi), Yume Miyamoto (Rokka Hota), Rena Ueda (Akane Shinjo), Ryosuke Takahashi (Samurai Calibur), Aoi Yuki (Borer), Masaya Matsukaze (Vitt), Kenichi Suzumura (Anti/Grid Knight) and Suzuko Mimori (Namiko) The audience was filled with applause as the cast members of the "A" series took the stage one after the other.

The event was moderated by Ryosuke Takahashi and Masaya Matsukaze.
During the live part, Hirose, Saito, Miyamoto, and Ueda sang their character songs.
During Yuta Hibiki's character song "Only I Can," Hirose shouted "Can you still speak up? Hirose shouted, "Can I still make my voice out?

In the talk show corner that followed, each cast member looked back on their favorite scenes from the main anime.
Suzumura chose the scene in the 10th episode, "Collapse and Breakdown," in which his character Anti transforms into a grid knight, and said, "Tokusatsu has always been about dark heroes (laughs). Thanks to you, I was able to play both the role of the monster and the hero," he commented, and then revealed the back story, "Actually, I didn't know at first that Anti would transform into Grid Knight, and I originally auditioned for Samurai Calibur.

Toru Inada (Alexis Keliv) also participated as a guest in the reading corner, portraying "Alexis as a smart speaker. GRIDMAN", a conversation play unfolded, during which Shinjo Akane, who had been put in a bad mood by a strange incident, summoned a monster. Alexis called out, and the entire audience shouted "Instance abreaction! and the main character, wooser, from the TV anime "wooser's That Day in the Life of wooser" appeared on stage! Gridman also materialized and appeared on stage, but instead of fighting, he escorted wooser out of the stage in a gentlemanly manner.

Gridman's appearance made Anti-Man show his own fighting spirit, but Borer pointed out that the GRIDMAN production committee had no budget left to make a stuffed animal. However, the audience was thrilled by the unexpected appearance of the stuffed Anti-Monster on stage. The stage was transformed into a hero show. The audience chanted "Access Code Gridman Calibur" in response to Samurai Calibur's call, and the electric sword "Gridman Calibur" was transferred to Gridman.
Anti and Gridman in a powerful battle. Gridman won the battle with the cheers of the audience, making the first attempt of a reading play + hero show corner a great success.

The first reading play + hero show was a great success. the two members of OxT started their live performance. They performed a cover of "Yume no Hero", the theme song of the special effects version of "Denko Chojin Gridman".
During the MC, they said, "We were really looking forward to today, but the waiting time was so long that we were worried if our names were written down. Tom-H@ck, the guitarist, said, "I was worried." Sayoshi Oishi, the vocalist, took out the ticket stub all the way on stage and said with a laugh, "We are treated like secret guests even though our names are written on the ticket.
The second song was "UNION," the theme song for the TV anime "SSSS. The audience clapped and shouted to the duo's performance, which concluded with Oishi's Access Flash pose.

The cast took the stage again and announced that the sequel to today's event, "SSSS.GRIDMAN SHOW02," would be held on Sunday, May 26, to loud applause and cheers.

Finally, the performers gave their greetings one by one. Midorikawa, who continues to play the role of Gridman from "Denko Choujin Gridman," said, "When I played the role of Gridman 25 years ago, I never thought that 25 years later I would be so excited about Gridman. I am so happy that this masterpiece that came too soon has finally caught up with the times and has been accepted by everyone," he said, expressing his gratitude.
Hirose took the stage wearing Primal Accessor, which is now available as a commercial product. The event ended with the audience shouting "Access Flash! with the audience, bringing the event to a close.

After the cast left the stage, a live-action part of the last episode of the TV series was suddenly shown on the screen, and it was announced that a music video of the theme song "UNION" would be produced.
GRIDMAN SHOW01 ended with a great success and many surprises were announced, and we cannot take our eyes off what kind of excitement will be delivered at the 02 show to be held in May.
