Azur Lane" is a smartphone game based on anthropomorphic ships distributed by Yostar. The number of registered users has exceeded 5 million, and in addition to the smartphone game, the popular game has also been made into a radio program, a manga, and a novel. In the original game, players take on the role of a commander who fosters anthropomorphic ships and leads a fleet to battle enemies in a shooting game.

The "E-mote Communicator Kekkon VR" displays the characters of the ships wearing dresses on a large 65-inch 4K touch panel display. The visuals created using the "E-mote" character animation tool have the exact texture of a 2D illustration, and by touching the realistic characters, the commander can communicate and interact with them by moving and talking. The content of the touch screen varies depending on where the character is touched.
